About this house rental
Charming and spacious 2-story cottage located at 40 Oak Street in Boothbay Harbor (you can google map the location and select, "street view" for a view of the neighborhood. The cottage is located up the hill behind the gray house). Just a 5-minute leisurely stroll to the harbor, restaurants, and shops, the cottage has high ceilings and a comfortable bed. There are 2 Adirondack chairs in front of the house with an amazing view of historic Oak Street. There is also a small patio area with a bistro table and grill. There is only 1 parking space.

I absolutely LOVED staying here and wished we had booked a longer stay! The cottage was so sweet and nice. It was exceptionally clean. The couch was wonderful and the TV was great. Parking was easy and the cottage was easy to find. It also had a great location. Kitchen was also nice.
I loved the upstairs bedroom. The bed and pillows were so comfy! (I actually purchased the same pillows when I got back home). I haven't had a nice rest in a long time.
Since we didn't overspend on our lodging, we were able to go on a whale watch and eat out and buy some souvenirs. I loved my short visit to Booth Bay Harbor. My only complaint was that we didn't stay longer.
Communication was also prompt and courteous.

The home was very close to downtown and we were able to easily walk to everything we wanted to do in town. Would definitely consider staying here again

First the good. The location to the downtown is convenient. If you have mobility issues, take note, it is mostly uphill. The bedroom and kitchen is beautifully refinished. Shower water flow is great. Prime was included.However, It smells musty, the kitchen floor was not clean. No air conditioning (it was hot upstairs in the bedroom even with windows open, ceiling fan on and there were big clumps of dust blowing from the floor fan). There were 2 of us/2nights and we only had 2 bath towels layed out (I dug around and found a couple more) and only one hand towel. It could use some living room updates.
