Budget Inn Gladstone By OYO - Portland Clackamas

When I arrived I had to wait for a couple to finish arguing about where their "smokes" were in the back room before anyone other than their dog came out to the front desk. They went through the check in process for the room a booked ahead of time which was a double queen with kitchenette. It wasn't until after they took my money that they informed me they gave that room to someone else and could put my family in a smaller room with no kitchenette and they would not adjust the price, even though there is a noticeable price gap between the 2 when booking online. They showed me the room and it smelled of smoke and everything just had that dingy poorly maintained and saturated in nicotine look. The only positive thing was that they didn't give me a hard time about me wanting my money back and I was able to book at a different place that was clean and friendly.

The receptionist was the only positive experience I had. She was kind, funny and all around good.

Everything. Just everything sucked. I dont expect 5/5 for the price, but i do expect there not to be blood, especially on the bathroom door hinge. The room 206 just felt like an absolute train wreck. The room smelt like a crack den. The flooring was held together with duct tape, most of the outlets didn't work, bathroom smelt like straight up mold, the AC had a very strong stench of tobacco and other mish-mash of drugs. As someone with very weak lungs, the room could have at least a clean air conditioner.

The only good thing was how nice the cleaning lady was. I hope she’s being treated well in this rundown dump.

Property was run down and needs an inspection. The room smelled like mold and mildew mixed with cigarettes. The room also did not look like the room we booked it was small. I wasn’t even gonna bother making it an issue because the lady running the place was already rude our first interaction. She was also very rude about us asking for towels. We had 4 people in our group and we wanted to shower after our activities. God forbid we asked for clean towels. We ended up leaving early the room was so stinky.

This place was disgusting! All of the bottom of our feet were black after walking around on the floor in the room. The was were gross and dirty like I was staying at someone dirty well used house. All the doors had holes in them with poor patch jobs, grime not just dirt but grime all over the baseboards. That’s not something I typically notice but this was THAT noticeable. The staff was not pleasant nor inviting, more annoyed and inconvenienced. Many spiders my husband killed and it looked like there were others that had done the same due to visible splatters. The beds were very cheap and not comfortable but that’s to be expected with budget stays. The toilet kept plugging up on us. We were here less than 24 hours and won’t be back!

The location was good, the housekeeping staff was very nice.

Room was awful, only one night stand with a king bed, chair in room was gross. Bed was so uncomfortable and loud. Bathroom was gross. Had smoke damage on the ceiling of the bathroom. Holes badly patched. Horrible paint job. Guy at the front desk told me he couldn’t find my reservation for like 15 mins. Shower dripped the whole time.

No commend. Due to other customers issue, the front dest didn’t let us check in. She said “ due to a customer kicked the doors, so we let other ppl stay in your room, and we are full . So no room for you guys. Sorry. Maybe booking.com will organize other hotel for you.” After a 16 hours travel. It’s really not fine at all!!

Let other ppl stay in our room and didn’t mention me at all. I did put a note about late check in (21:00-22:00), I was not “no show!!! “ Then said”we are full , sorry.” What’s wrong with this place!? Very clean. Friendly staff. Well lit. Good safety surveillance. I like that a vintage motel has updated itself to appeal to a budget conscious consumer. My room also had a full kitchen which helped avoid costly restaurants.

Didn’t partake of the breakfast. Room was delightful.
