The cows and ostriches roaming next to the backyard was a welcomed surprise.
So too was the 2 owls living in the tree by the braai (one of two braais outside).
The woodburning, closed-combustion fireplace was a treat.
There's a sign on the main road indicating the turnoff for the cottages, but then there's not another one once you get on the gravel road - so we drove up and down a while before the host saw us and directed us.
The firewood that was provided was unfortunately quite wet, but we managed.
Apart from these minor inconveniences it was a very enjoyable stay.

We loved our stay. The place was clean, very spacious, and thoughtfully set up, with a functional kitchen including both a dishwasher and a washing machine. We loved the ostriches outside. On top of it all, the host was warm, welcoming and kind. We would happily stay here again.

Great peaceful location and spacious house. Everything was very comfortable and well thought out. Particularly liked the owl In the tree and watching the ostriches. Great value.
