RELSTAY - Navigli - 1BR

I love the authenticity of the place we stayed at. A beautiful, historical building. The room in Japandi-style was and felt very refreshing. With comfortable bed, a neat kitchenette and comfortable (albeit small) bathroom. The room had everything for the two of us to really enjoy our stay in Milan. A key was present on the inside, to allow for easier access of the different areas of the building, which was a huge improvement compared to way made our entry (see not-so-good comment). I love cooking and I was surprised that basic essentials were present such as oils and everything in neat single-use packages. It was very convenient. A grocery store was a 7-minute walk out, which made it very convenient to collect what we needed for our stay. All the features of the apartment outweighed the negative experience we had at the start.

It was unfortunate that upon our arrival, we were unable to open the front gate with the provided instructions in the app. When we reached out over WhatsApp, it took about 1h to 1.5h before they got back to us. It is possible that the electronic lock didn't work as intended. When we called them, we were put on an automated message, which was not helpful at all. Eventually, after sitting around for 15min upon arrival, one of the residents let us in and we were able to access the other gates. Here, the electronic locks worked as expected. Additionally, the walk from the subway station to the place was a bit long. It may have been better if we took one or several trams instead.

Het appartement was erg schoon en ideaal gelegen in de Navigli-wijk. De straat was rustig, terwijl het drukkere en levendige gedeelte van de wijk met restaurants en cafés op loopafstand lag. Ook een supermarkt en openbaar vervoer vind je op maximaal 15 min loopafstand. Het appartement was voorzien van vrijwel alle faciliteiten die je nodig hebt voor een citytrip, zoals twee airco’s, een vaatwasser, wasmachine, strijkijzer en een comfortabel bed. Ook de eigen zitplek buiten op de galerij was een fijne extra om ‘s avonds af te koelen (let wel op de muggen!!). Al met al een prettig verblijf en zeker een aanrader.

La localisation, la décoration, le calme.

- Nous avons eu un retard sur notre vol, donc nous sommes arrivés plus tard que prévu et nous avons eu des difficultés à entrer. Les codes ne fonctionnaient pas, ce sont des résidents qui nous ont ouvert. Très compliqué. - Il y avait de la poussière. - Manque des capsules pour la machine à laver.
