Casa Alcabre (Samil)

The property and location exceeded my expectations. You are definitely paying for the exterior and location so do not expect bells and whistles inside, but the kitchen was fully stocked and bathroom large. No living/tv room, but that was fine because there’s so much space outside! Including covered, so you can enjoy the outdoors even if it rains. The views were beautiful and there’s a ton of space outside. Our dogs loved it and really we spent most of the time outside, at the beach, or a quick drive into Vigo. There’s a grocery store walking distance. Beach is a super close walk and very beautiful, you can walk down along the path by the water for various access points. Even a couple beach front restaurants. It was so quiet too, just lovely. Normally I am not a fan of having to meet the host, we prefer a fast lockbox checkin, but she was very kind and quickly explained everything then left. Very easy.

All good, but note that if you’re visiting from Portugal despite Vigo being north (and depending from where, further west) - it’s not the same time zone! We’ve never experienced this and didn’t realize the one hour difference until we plugged it into gps.

Very quiet area and a large garden directly in front of the house.

No problems
