Antico Convento Sorrento

It's a perfect location just on the cusp of Sorrento. Great for large group or big family. Sorrento center is a 20 minute walk. The house itself is like a compound with a gate that feels safe and secure. Beautiful unique house with all you need, and great attention to detail. There is a quaint café just outside your door with pastries, espresso, water, wine, beer, and snacks. There are many restaurants available and a market for groceries just a short walk away. They also set up a crib and toddler bed, which was so helpful to us. Luca, our host, was incredible. He was there and waiting to welcome our family and provided a thorough tour of the villa and its amenities. He exceeded expectations and was was easy to talk to and remained available throughout our stay, checking in on us to see if we needed anything. He provided key info for the surrounding area to make our stay more personal and enjoyable. He even made us dinner reservations at a wonderful restaurant he recommended. He was very kind and helpful.

We had 2 small children with us. A curious toddler and crawling 11 month old. The size of the house with its many corridors, stairs, and beauiful antique glass decor was very enticing to them and difficult to manage keeping them sequestered to one area. We had to move breakable objects out of arms reach. Typical baby/toddler challenges, but something to consider for parents looking to relax. The beds are very firm. This is considered great for many people's comfort level. But if a firmer mattress is uncomfortable for your body, it's something to consider before an extended stay. But all of that said, it was a fantastic experience and we would come to stay here again and again.
