About this house rental
Enjoy your stay on the picturesque Piscataquis River in Maine. You will enjoy 175 ft of private river frontage out your back door in a newly remodeled cottage. PLEASE NOTE- The property has direct access to water and we DO NOT provide life jackets (guests are responsible for swimming at your own risk and for bringing proper floatation safety devices) Children must be supervised at ALL times We are 25 min to the Moosehead region, 10 min to the Appalachian trail and the 100 mile wilderness trail head. There are many beautiful hikes, ponds, lakes, streams, ATV and snowmobile trails nearby to enjoy and the best part is coming back and unwinding to the rippling river, the crackling fire pit and the starlit skies.
Our Cottage is a cozy home away from home. It sleeps 6 comfortably with 2 bedrooms plus a loft. We have a full kitchen, a washer/dryer in the unit and a beautiful breakfast bar that overlooks the river. We have 2 wall monitors to keep you cozy on the chilly nights and your stay include linens, blankets and the basic essentials to help make your stay a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Outside we have a fire pit on the river bank to toast your marshmallows as well as a charcoal grill for all your grilling needs (charcoal not included)

This was a great jumping-off point for my wife and me to explore the Moosehead lake area. We enjoyed our stay, thoroughly, and would have loved to have had more time in the area. We didn't spend too much time at the cottage itself, but it was a good home base, and had all the fixings to be a pleasant place to relax in.

The cabin was clean and comfortable. We loved sitting at the fire pit by the river. Would highly recommend to anyone for a peaceful getaway.
