About this farm stay rental

Little Beaver Creek Ranch is in the heart of western Montana, between the historic towns of Trout Creek and Thompson Falls. The ranch is a combination of an historic and working remnant of Montana’s ranching past, and stunning natural beauty - - wide-open meadows with unobstructed views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Over 4000' of Little Beaver Creek provide the boundary to fenced & cross-fenced hay fields with a backdrop of the Bitterroot and Cabinet Mountains. The scenery is exceptional and area resources are astounding. Finding refuge on the ranch, wildlife is plentiful and diverse.

The nostalgic, red 7,200 square foot, 7-stall barn serves as a functional centerpiece to the property and as a solid scenic landmark. Historic structures abound, with two barns, a carriage house, school house and bunkhouse to explore.

Our four-bedroom guest house offers short and long-term options for overnight accommodations. RV camping is also available through the Hip Camp program. The setting supports special events, weddings, horse boarding, cattle grazing and other activities, including winter cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Little Beaver Creek Ranch is surrounded by public lands with miles of backcountry hiking trails, and roads. Additionally, nearby Sex and Cougar Peak historic fire lookouts are available for overnight stays. These area resources also include easy access to the Clark Fork, Flathead, Big Blackfoot, Bull, Yaak and Kootenai Rivers, as well as Noxon Reservoir, Flathead and Pend Oreille Lakes for exceptional boating and fishing opportunities. Sweitzer and Lookout Pass ski resorts are a reasonable drive from the property and offer outstanding skiing and support facilities.

The Little Beaver Creek Ranch Guest House has been remodeled and is a tastefully furnished four-bedroom, two bath home in the heart of this amazingly beautiful and private ranch setting. This specially remodeled home is utilized exclusively for private parties, special groups and wedding support. It has all new appliances and décor has been completely updated. The basement level has a pool table and space for entertaining, with a basement walkout to a nearby barbecue area. The setting is safe and the property is equipped with an electronic entrance gate.

Rob and Mary are excellent hosts. The property is beautiful and the scenery is stunning. Our granddaughter loved visiting the horses, goats and dogs. The property is conveniently located between Trout Creek and Thompson Falls. And if we needed anything to help support our stay, our hosts were happy to assist. We will be happy to return if we venture to this part of Montana again.

It was a VERY BEAUTIFUL scenic place. Loved the solitude and peaceful area. You can view lots of deer and Turkey right outside the property. Our only issue was with check in, waited for details on how to get in and they were waiting for us to show up and tell us in person. Wish we would’ve gotten a message to tell us they were waiting on our arrival. Because of no cell service message was delayed. LOVED the owners, VERY accommodating, helpful, and friendly!

We had an amazing time at Rob and Mary’s farm and can’t wait to go back. The home is comfortable with a game room in the basement, plenty of sleeping space, extra towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. The farm is in a spectacular location with gorgeous views. There are horses and goats, a hiking trail, and lots of peace and quiet. Mary and Rob were so kind and engaging with our kids. My daughter didn’t want me to leave a review; she is worried that the house will be booked up next time we want to come.
