About this house rental
The Olde Homestead just newly remodeled offers many amenities and is perfectly located in the country just on the outskirts of city limits with easy access right off Hwy 21 on a very short dead-end lane. A large deck in front, a patio in the back and a fire pit (wood provided) under the trees allow you to enjoy the great outdoors, gaze up at the stars in the night sky, listen to the sounds of nature and possibly see a deer or turkey. A definite bonus is the garage/recreation room which is perfect on rainy days to play ping pong and corn hole and safely store your bicycles. You will also find the BBQ grill (charcoal provided) plus another table and chairs to use. If you do enjoy animals and/or left your beloved pets at home, you might be greeted my the small very friendly neighbor's dog, Sophie or feed a carrot over the fence to our horse, Fancy.
This three bedroom home has been completely remodeled including new cabinets and appliances including microwave, stainless steel full-sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, blender and mixer. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils or use the charcoal grill outside. The house also has 2 modern and updated bathrooms. One has a shower and the master bathroom has a tub/shower combination. All new bedding and towels are provided. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and the other 2 bedrooms have full-sized beds. A twin-sized blow up mattress is in the master bedroom closet. The laundry room has a brand-new washer and dryer and a cabinet full of fun board games.
While here relax in the cozy living room in the reclining sofa and reclining love seat while talking about your day's activities or watching our brand new smart Roku TV. Each bedroom has a brand new smart Roku TV. Enjoy our free WIFI.
The beautiful Arcadia Valley has a lot to offer especially if you like to be outdoors. Hiking, biking, golf, disc golf, extreme downhill mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing, kayaking, history and more! We are close to outstanding parks such as Fort Davidson (1 mile), Shepherd Mountain Bike and Hiking Park (1.4 miles), Elephant Rocks State Park (2 miles), Taum Sauk State Park (7 miles), Johnson Shut-Ins State Park (12 miles), Millstream Gardens (11 miles) plus so many conservation areas.
Only 90 minutes southwest of St. Louis, you can be here in no time at all!

Our stay at The Olde Homestead made our fall trip to Acadia Valley perfect. It was ideally located to state parks and towns. The rooms were well furnished with everything that we needed. It was super clean and everything was in great shape. The bed and couches were comfortable and the kitchen and dining room served us well. The outside setting was nicely landscaped. Thanks to our hosts who communicated with lots of information. We would book again when we visit that area next time.

It was a perfect place for the family to visit. We had a wonderful host and my kids loved the visiting dog and watching the horse. The master bedroom is in the back of the house separated by a step that gives the bedroom more of an isolated feel from the rest of the house.
