This comfortable beach getaway is on lovely Lieutenant Island.

Enter an open eat-in kitchen. The nicely-equipped kitchen has a solid surface range and dishwasher. The dining table seats six comfortably. The vaulted ceiling and large windows make this a comfortable room. There are two lounge chairs--a nice spot for a book or to keep the cook company.
Down the hall from the kitchen are two of the home's bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and a slider to the front deck. The other bedroom has two twin beds. There is also a bathroom with a shower on this floor.
A spiral staircase leads upstairs to the living room. The living room is an open and bright space with a vaulted ceiling, large windows, ceiling fan and a slider to a balcony deck. The living room has comfortable seating and a flat screen TV with cable. Enjoy peeks of the tidal marsh over the tree tops. The balcony deck with lounge furniture is a wonderful spot to relax and unwind and enjoy the breeze and natural beauty of Lt. Island.
Back on the first floor, the spiral staircase leads down to the lower level. The third bedroom with two twin beds and a flat screen TV is in the lower level. There is door to the exterior (below the deck), a bathroom with a shower and a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
A/C: The home has five ductless split unit air conditioners: one in the kitchen, one in the first floor bedroom with the queen, one in the first floor bedroom with the two twins, one in the lower level bedroom with the two twins and one in the living room.
The front deck has a dining table with seating, a gas grill and an awning for those super sunny days. There is also an enclosed outdoor shower at the back of the house.
Enjoy exploring Lt. Island's wooded vistas and amazing water views--a delight for birdwatchers. This property is about 0.375 mi to the beach off Heron Pond Rd--unofficially known as "Kayak Beach". Walk or bike to this beach (no parking available). A little under a mile to the beach on the second half of the island (limited parking).
Short drive to everything Wellfleet has to offer including ocean and bay beaches, the town's famous freshwater ponds, the Cape Cod Rail Trail (for bike and walking), Wellfleet's own French bakery/restaurant--PB Boulangerie, Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, the Wellfleet Drive-In, Cape Cod National Seashore beaches, trails and sites, and live theater/entertainment, amazing shopping, dining and galleries on Wellfleet's Main Street and Harbor.
This comfortable home is on Lieutenant Island. NOTE: Properties on Lieutenant Island are accessed via a short causeway that at times can be covered by water at high tide (two times a day) for approximately two hours. A tide chart is supplied so you can plan accordingly.

**** CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY ****
Upon cancellation for ANY reason, money will be refunded less a 20% service fee of the total rental amount due, ONLY if the property is re-rented for the same terms and conditions of the original Agreement. Tenant further acknowledges and agrees that where Kinlin Grover Compass undertakes to re-let the property, the rental fee to be charged to the substitute tenant shall be in an amount to be determined in the reasonable discretion of Kinlin Grover Compass and Owner. Tenant agrees that any cancellation of the reservation, undertaken at any time, shall not be effective unless in writing and delivered to Kinlin Grover Compass.

Many parts of this house are great. The location is perfect for walking to a lovely, private feeling beach where we also put our kayaks.
The house itself is older than the pictures made it look! The kitchen was large enough and very well stocked! The living room upstairs is lovely and spacious.We were somewhat disappointed in the beds. The mattresses seemed older and the twin beds more like metal cots. This is a tricky/ difficult house for a toddler. The spiral staircases are difficult for young ages…although we did find a wonderful gate to use. There is ample space outside where we set up a small pool for our grandson..he had lots of fun.
Staying on the Island is both beautiful and time restricted. But this is island life, slow and more thoughtful

We stayed early in August for a week. The house is lovely with plenty of space, beautiful views from the upper floor, two outside decks lovely for morning coffee and evening star watching. Everything we needed was in the house. The kitchen and bathrooms are a nice size. We walked to the beach every day, just a few minutes' walk. We hope to return next summer!
