About this house rental
Spectacular sunrises and sublime sunsets are yours at On The Rocks, our large waterfront retreat. Fabulous views of both the river & Bay are visible from most rooms. Rustic luxury abounds with 4 bedrooms, 4 baths (full bath & half bath on both floors), upstairs & downstairs wet bars, huge great room w/pool table and a dedicated view room upstairs. You can park your boat or just enjoy the private dock for fishing or enjoying the view. The lower dock gives you access to the water and is a great place for fly fishing. The nearly one acre lot gives you plenty of room to stretch out or play outdoor games, all with big water views!
The space
On The Rocks has over 5,300 square feet of living space on a spectacular large water front lot with big water views of both the Chesapeake Bay & the Rappahannock river. Warm wood floors welcome you to the roomy home, built with exposed post & beam construction. It includes a fully equipped cooks kitchen w/granite counter tops & wet bar, a large, waterfront great room with plenty of seating, regulation sized pool table and plenty of nooks so everyone can find a comfy spot. The entire downstairs is handicapped accessible, as is the dock that gets you out on the river for fishing, wildlife/sunset viewing, or getting into the water from the lower dock. Downstairs has one very large bedroom suite with sitting area, tv, a king size Sleep Number bed and much more. This suite can be fully closed off from the rest of the house for privacy. The second downstairs bedroom resides in it's own wing, has water views and is also able to be closed off for privacy. It includes a large half bath for convenience. Upstairs you will find a dedicated view room/bar for incomparable Bay & river views! This large room has it's own sink, ice maker, built in freezer and mini fridge, also a half bath. The large bedroom suite has a king bed with water views on three sides, plus several sitting areas and a large, walk-in closet. It connects to a large full bathroom, shared with a smaller bedroom containing two twin beds. The catwalk is open to the downstairs and creates quite a dramatic space with views of the water and the surrounding neighborhood. There are televisions in 3 bedrooms, the kitchen, the view room and the great room downstairs. A basic set of fishing rods & tackle are available for use, as is a crab pot. Fish & crab right off our private dock! The yard and dock are also great for wildlife viewing. Eagle, osprey and many other birds are readily seen as are dolphin, sting ray and many types of fish. Deer, fox and other land creatures make appearances as well. Weber BBQ grill available for your use, along with cornhole boards for in-yard fun! You can launch your boat at one of the nearby marinas and tie it to the private dock (MLWL approximately 30") or leave it at the marina. Deltaville has 'most everything you'll need from marine supplies to groceries to dining to it's own ballpark!

The small beach nearby is private and not to be used by guests.

We came back for another stay at the beautiful and lovely home. The home is very spacious and perfect with great views, lots of beds, large kitchen and family areas. The hosts are truly excellent who really attempt to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The cake and champagne were an added delicious treat! We really hope to return again as it is a perfect fit!!! Thank you!

You won’t find a more gorgeous view. It is mesmerizing! The house is very spacious, perfect for a large family or even multiple families as most of the bedrooms are spread out for maximum privacy and quiet. The kitchen has everything you need. Highly recommend

What a lovely property! We spent our time fishing each day...getting up early, casting a rod out in the water, reeling several fish in (catch-and-release), and truly enjoying our time there!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The location was perfect, the house was spacious and relaxing, and the fishing was awesome. The home is a true gem. Had plenty of space for sleeping, plenty of items in the kitchen - a cook's kitchen. The pool table was an added bonus as were all the games. We loved the touch of nostalgia with modern conveniences and a relaxing atmosphere. The views were spectacular and the dock was outstanding. Although we could have brought our boat, we chose not to because of the small craft advisory on the Bay. Did NOT matter because we had some great fishing right there. Boat rentals were available close by. The area is pure country with available shopping within minutes of the home.
The hosts are fantastic, a true personal touch with quick responses and answered all our questions, and wanted nothing more than to see that we had an exceptional trip. Thank you so very much!!!! We really hope to be back again!!!
