About this house rental
Adorable one level lake home in Central Minnesota boasts 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, full kitchen, family room with pull out sofa and adjoining sun room with futon that can sleep additional guests. Fun detached bunk house for games or relaxing with up close view of the lake. Great family friendly lake for fishing, relaxing, boating, water sports and ice fishing on the Briggs Lake Chain of Lakes that includes Briggs, Julia and Rush Lakes - all with a public access. Dock and Kayaks provided. Inside fireplace converted to gas insert in 2024, working on updating pictures. Furnace heats the house, and central A/C to cool it. Summer bonfire pit lakeside, with fire wood available on-site on a donation basis. Patio with furniture. Ample free parking on driveway. Pets allowed, up to two, $100 fee for the stay, please put the pet number in the booking.
Local General Store with all everyday essentials (including ice cream!) and the Palmer House restaurant less than half a mile up the road. Palmer Park nearby is equipped with a pavilion, tennis, pickle ball, volleyball and basketball courts, playground, horseshoe pits and ski and walking trails. Just an hour north from the Twin Cities for an easy weekend get away. Pebble creek 18 hole golf course and the Refuge National park less than 10 miles away. St. Cloud is just 15 miles away with biking trails, shopping, and entertainment.
You will not only want to be here on the warm summer days, but also on the cold winter days to enjoy snowmobiling or ice fishing.

I can’t express how much we enjoyed our stay! The hosts were amazing. We were so comfortable. It was clean and quiet. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Everything we needed was available. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at Kara’s Cabin!I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Kara’s Cabin! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The lake was beautiful, the home was cozy, and the kitchen was incredibly well-equipped.. I got so much baking and cooking done! The crockpot especially came in clutch and made our four-day stay feel like home.On our last day, our flights were unexpectedly canceled, and Kara went above and beyond to help us stay another night. My Venmo wasn’t working, and she was so kind and understanding, allowing me to just leave cash on the counter.. that level of trust and grace is rare and so appreciated.Kara’s communication was excellent, she responded quickly, and truly made sure we had everything we needed. The entire experience was peaceful, comfortable, and memorable. Everything we could’ve possibly needed was already there.This cabin and Kara’s hospitality made the trip unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back..one for the books, for sure!
