The location of this property was fantastic and was definitely the highlight of our stay. The house itself has so much potential, and you can tell it could be an amazing rental with a little more attention to maintenance.
Unfortunately, the property didn’t feel as well cared for as we expected. There were several maintenance issues throughout the home, including missing light switch covers, a hole in one of the deck boards, and an exterior fence that was falling down. The yard also needed attention, with the lawn overgrown and trees and shrubs in need of trimming. Inside, there were quite a few unfinished or “fixer-upper” type repairs that took away from the overall experience.
None of these issues ruined our trip, but they did make the home feel less maintained than the listing suggested. With some basic repairs and routine upkeep, this property could easily live up to its potential because the location really is hard to beat.
