Clean &:Convenient but Hyper Expensive

The price we paid was ridiculous. This is a basic standard very old (but clean) motel room. Do not pay more than $110 to $130 a night....anything greater and you should go elsewhere.

Large, clean room with chairs provide and walk-in shower. Managers were responsive and tried to make Our stay nice.

Leak in the bathroom that flooded the floor everyday that no one could resolve, even a plumber. The refrigerator froze everything we place inside, even though we adjusted the temperature several times downward, and the coffee pot didn’t work. Noise level at night kept us awake / we were on a bottom level room and the room above us was very active every night, most of the nite on Saturday.

Excellent place to stay

Can't judge a book by its cover, the outside is plain. The room was homey, comfortable, clean. Great water pressure, extremely hot and cold water for shower, bed and pillow extremely comfortable. Thoughtful touches throughout, like they actually cared about your stay. We plan to stay here again when we come back to Lassen National Park

Quite nice.

Relatively quiet. Always seem to be some yelling in the middle of the night to wake one no matter where you stay. Antler Inn is of no exception unfortunately. Overall a great stay.

Good for a comfortable 1-2 night’s stay

Nice spacious rooms, a few decent restaurants nearby, easy parking.

It’s too expensive for a motel-style accommodation with no extra facilities. Unfortunately, there aren’t many alternatives nearby. We had to do self-service laundry and it was more than twice the price of any other hotel on our 3-week road trip.

Good place linoleum in the bathroom needs to be replaced.

I like that this was central to everything. The service was great and the room was mostly clean.

My only issue was with the linoleum in the bathroom it was cracked and coming up, and the toilet was low. I thought maybe it was me, but I just stayed at another hotel, and the toilet there was higher up. All in all, it's a good place to stay good service and good value.

Great stay for the price!

Downtown location close to restaurants and stores. Very clean, comfortable beds and pillows. All the amenities including a cute little gas fireplace for ambiance, treats on pillows was a nice welcome. Outdoor seating area with fire out where we enjoyed wine and cigars in the evening. Will definitely be back.

Never lived in this low level of hotel in my whole life

There was no electricity the entire night. The generator was incredibly loud and only powered the office—not the rooms—leaving us in a freezing, pitch-black motel room where we couldn’t see a damn thing. And somehow they still had the nerve to charge $188 for that.

A great motel with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere in the lovely town of Chester. The room was very clean with fresh linens, and the WiFi was excellent (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz available). The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Overall a fine place for a family of 4 to stay for a night or two while visiting Lassen.

Location was convenient for exploring Lassen Volcanic National Park. There are food options within a few minutes walk/ drive of Antlers Motel as well as a great supermarket (with deli sandwiches!) right across the street. The Staff at Antlers was very friendly. The rooms were clean and as expected. Bathroom was spacious, and the shower and bath worked well.

There was only one bedside lamp for two beds; a lamp per bed would be nice. Not many sitting options other than beds - there was only one chair.

Very pleasant stay.

The room was very clean, and it was obvious the housekeeping staff took their jobs seriously. I appreciated there being plenty of towels, and pillows. It was also nice to have many satelite TV channels available. The front desk staff made every effort to answer my questions about hiking trails, etc. I was traveling with a therapy dog, and appreciated being able to walk him nearby to the Motel. I liked that there was a 'poo bag' stand nearby (tho I used my own bags) and a hose for me to top up my dog's water bowl in the car.

As previously discussed with Antlers' manager, I was put off by promotion on Booking.com site of Antlers Motel as having free cancellation. Once I'd booked, I was told there was in fact a 20% fee for changing or cancelling. This is clearly deceptive, and a problem. I have sensitive skin, and the sheets and towels had clearly been washed in something with a pervasive artificial scent. This is very common now, but is a problem for many people. A top I wore to bed still smells of artificial scent after being laundered at home. I strongly urge you to use detergent without perfumes or dyes. There was a small desk with chair, but faced the wall, so one couldn't eat while watching the TV, as many do. Would have been nice to have a small "TV tray" or small table to use for eating, etc.
