Value Compromised

The location was not 9kms as indicated,but over 30kms from centre. The pictures were misleading as the unit we got was not what we expected. Although the staff tried their best to accommodate our needs, the value for what we spent was not realised. I request at least a 50 % refund

Easy, modern and great view!

We booked Villa Grace just before check-in cut off as another property in the area (Azure 11), which we had booked had issues, leaving us stranded in the evening. The hosts made the last minute check-in incredibly easy. The room is modern and neat with direct access to the pool. View was lovely sundowners next to the pool. Very comfortable, this particular room was great for a short stopover!

Bathroom doesn’t allow much privacy. Glass is frosted but make sure you are quite comfortable with your travel companion 😄

I loved everything out this place, it’s exactly what you see in the pictures. I had a nice swim too

I don’t know if it was mistake or what but the accommodation showed under Seapoint accommodation and I took it because of that, only to find out it’s not. It is far from V&A Waterfront where I made reservations in restaurants and activities so my transportation was expensive every time I had to go to those restaurants I made reservations at.

Sketchy accommodation near the beach

The location, close to the sea.

There were a few things that really made the stay unenjoyable. Firstly, we were shown in via the side entrance, up some very steep and slippery steps, rather than through the main entrance which seemed to be all locked up and not accessible to guests. Then the room itself was not up to scratch, the pillows were inadequate (only 1 each), hard and lumpy. There was no soap, and the tiny remaining shower gel was actually dish washing liquid. Then the external doors did not lock.When we went out in the evening and when we went to sleep (remember the internal door was locked and inaccessible) it was a huge concern and we ended up moving our valuables to our cars parked on the street and not behind a gate, which is also not safe. This was a serious issue given security concerns in SA, as well as the many various people coming and going from the property all the times. It honestly did not seem like a guest house by any stretch of the imagination and my friend and I felt very uncomfortable. I was very happy we only stayed one night, but it was a real shame as it was my friend's birthday and the accommodation ruined it a bit. Then lastly, but bit less seriously, was the ridiculous, broken, multicoloured chandelier in the room... Not the standard I expected for this type of accommodation.

I appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the location, which was convenient and easy to access. The facilities were generally acceptable and met basic expectations.

The stay was not very comfortable overall, and cleanliness could be improved. I also felt that the property did not offer good value for money compared to what was provided.

Fantastic Location - Value for money

The hostess, Abigail, was exceptional. She went out of her way to help us. My wife couldn't climb the stairs, so she found us an alternate room on the ground and at very short notice. The owners were not very freindly. Stucknin a covid time warp. Thinking that's it's still OK to clean the room once every 3-days. Despite being onsite and living at the propery the only communication was via the booking.com app.

A little disappointing

The bathroom was stunning. The room was a good size and comfortable. But there were a few disappointments.

The room was tucked away at the back of the property facing the main road.so you can hear the traffic. Rather disappointing. The website shows beautiful, other rooms. Although, the website mentioned construction right next door, there was no privacy, with construction workers peering into the room. I have photos of this. No cleaning done. So room was clean on the first day. On the second day the thrash was not cleaned. Towels not changed etc.

The room didn't have towels and shower cap (luckily I had my own). It also did not have spoons to stir our tea, we had to use forks 💀. It would have been nice as well if someone came through while we were out, to refill the soap + shower gel and empty the bin 👍🏾
