Bright Penthouse - Terrace with Views

Nice clean and well equipped kitchen. Good terrace with comfortable furniture. Good location with easy access to supermarket, busses and bars / restaurants. Staff were quick to help with a WiFi issue we had and also helped with retrieving an item we left after we checked out.

Bed could have been more comfortable and was very squeaky.

It was in an ideal location with views (just) of the sea. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The extra pillows required linen and were stained. There was a lot of building work going on, this wasn’t an issue but the dust on the outdoor furniture was.

Had a really great time overall, but unfortunately the stay was seriously impacted by a terrifying incident where we were locked out on the balcony of the top-floor penthouse for five hours. The real estate agent told us the owner was coming to let us back in, but apparently the owner actually lives in the UK, so that was never going to happen. To the real estate: perhaps this is something you should fact-check when you have guests staying in a top-floor property with a balcony lock that can easily leave people trapped outside. We had no phones, no water, no food and no access to a toilet, and the real estate knew we were stuck up there but provided no meaningful assistance or urgency. We eventually had to rely on the incredibly kind mechanic downstairs, our neighbours and the fire brigade to get us out. Please be extremely careful with the balcony locks. The design is a genuine safety hazard and could seriously ruin someone’s holiday, or worse. Thanks for checking in, real estate! 🙃 Aside from that, it’s a great spot and we otherwise had a really lovely time.
