Set your sights on this splendid mountain view home in North Carolina for your next vacation! This splendid retreat enjoys a peaceful and secluded location surrounded by majestic trees yet you are still just a short drive from Bryson City. Get a feel for nature all around you at the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Depot (less than seven miles out) and treat your family to a calming ride on the train. If you have time, head to Darnell Farms for some homegrown and authentic produce.

The Cherokee Casino and Cultural Center and the Visitor Center for the Great Smokey Mountains National Park are within driving distance. With tons of hiking/biking trails nearby, you'll be able to ride against the cooling breeze below the trees. Enjoy a lovely stroll alongside Lake Fontana (just minutes away), or get your blood pumping at Nantahala Outdoor Center with whitewater rafting! Check out the Appalachian mountain hiking trail close by (just a short drive away), or have the time of your life by tubbing or white water rafting. Enjoy the Deep Creek State Park right at your fingertips, or head to the nearby creeks for native trout fishing/wading.

Once you've explored enough of the local town and its many wonderful attractions, return to your home away from home and walk through the front door to find your slice of serenity. Plop your luggage beside the comfortable couches in the spacious living area and kick up your feet for a quick power nap. If you wake up hungry, check out the full kitchen provided and use the appliances to cook something special for you and your guests.

With plenty of room on the patio area, you'll get a gorgeous view of the rolling mountains in the distance with your family. Listen to the sound of the rushing waters of the creek nearby as you cook up some American barbecue on the gas grill, then head into the game room and let loose for a while by playing some games of Ping-Pong, foosball, PacMan, and cornhole! As the evening begins to settle in, go out to the firepit, sit back on the Adirondack chairs, and roast some marshmallows over the flame as you talk unto the late hours of the night. Pay close attention to your surroundings - if you are lucky enough, you may catch a glimpse of numerous bird species and local wildlife.

Our family (5 adults and 3 kids) stayed for 4 nights on a visit to Bryson City for the Polar Express. We loved the cute Christmas decorations, the firepit, and the games in the garage. The location is okay- about a 15 minute drive from the attractions in a quiet and remote area. The house did leave some room for improvement. Both sinks in the upstairs bathroom drain slowly or not at all. The upper oven doesn't work. Our main issue was that the basement was very cold and the heat doesn't really work down there. There is a fireplace, but the remote was missing and we couldn't get it to turn on. The kids were pretty cold sleeping down there. I tried contacting the property manager to help with the fireplace, but it is Vacasa and they are pretty worthless as you chat with various people who have never been to the house. We just moved the kids upstairs and didnt really go in the basement. Overall it was fine, but we will likely look for a different house next year.

My family enjoyed our stay at this property booked for our trip on the Great Smokey Mountain Railway Polar Express. The property was only a 15 minute drive from the train depot, so that was convenient. The property is lovely, clean and well appointed. I appreciated that there was hand soap provided in each bathroom and travel size soap and shampoo/conditioner provided in each of the full size baths with sufficient linens for our two night stay for six adults and one child. The property had cookware, plates and serving ware as well as a toaster and 12-cup coffee maker (bring your own filters and coffee). My daughter was sad to leave thanks to the fun game room! The fireplace in the lower level did not work, so it wasn't warm enough for our mid-November stay to sleep in the bunk room, but it was a great space that we would have liked to have utilized more. We were pleased with this property and our interactions with Vacasa. Thanks!

The house was spacious and light, not far out of town. While we liked the house, we weren't impressed at all with Vacasa. This is the first and last time we'll use them. We checked in Wedn afternoon and noticed one of the two upstairs bedrooms had a broken bed. Slats were literally laying on the floor. We called immediately for someone to come and repair the bed. (Would literally be someone drilling new holes to secure the supports.) Our adult son and his wife had to find two gallon paint cans from the garage to support the slats so that they could sleep on the bed. Not once did we get a call back although I texted frequently for assistance or some kind of information. The reply "We will get in touch with our local staff and someone will be in touch. Contact us if you have any further concerns." Daily we contacted them but to know avail! We requested a refund, at least for the family (newborn parents) in that room for 4 nights. I'm not expectant of any reparations but hope I'm wrong.
