About this chalet rental
Are you looking for a cozy retreat in the Frankenwald nature region near Bad Steben? Enjoy the peace and quiet and relax in our private chalet. It’s the perfect spot in the Frankenwald to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Chalet Alba is the ideal starting point for hikes in the Frankenwald. The spa town of Bad Steben is just a 5-minute drive away. The Rennsteig trailhead is also only 5 minutes away.
High-quality furnishings await you in this 84-square-meter space. Sustainable materials were used for the colors and flooring.
The versatile “four-two” designer sofa invites you to snuggle up and relax. A pellet fireplace provides cozy warmth even on cooler days.
Host a game night at the large dining table—the comfortable chairs make it easy to stay for hours (games provided).
The TV with soundbar can be viewed from various angles thanks to its rolling stand.
Enjoy a unique experience sipping a glass of wine or a cocktail at our bar.
Cook together in the spacious and fully equipped kitchen. (Oven, ceramic cooktop, microwave, bread slicer, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, dishwasher, and refrigerator, as well as a small freezer).
The bathroom has been completely renovated and features a shower, toilet, and sink.
A washing machine with laundry detergent is available in the storage room. You can dry your laundry on the rotary clothesline in the garden.
The two bedrooms are located on the upper level of the house (the “Cozy Nook” with a double bed measuring 200x180 cm and the “Moon Bedroom” (the “moon,” in the form of a ceiling light, will delight your children) with two single beds, each measuring 190x90 cm). Both rooms feature a large built-in closet. The windows can be darkened with blinds.
From the living room, you have direct access to the furnished patio, which features a table with four chairs and a comfortable lounge chair. Another lounge area with a table is located on the garden terrace. The unfenced garden covers approximately 300 square meters—so you can choose between sun and shade.

The newly redesigned swimming lake is within walking distance. Feel free to use our on-site handcart to get there. You can take a refreshing dip in the lake at any time. Other sports activities (table tennis, basketball, or soccer) are available, as well as a children’s playground.

The chalet was charming, very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The hosts welcomed us by meeting us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property, answering our questions about how to operate the appliances. It was a beautiful location near a lake and a charming small town. We had a wonderful stay!
