About this cabin rental

A short peaceful drive less than 45 minutes from Louisville Kentucky you will find our Cabins provide a nice getaway from the hustle and the bustle of the city life. If you just want a place to go and rest or you want a day filled with local attractions you can have either one here. Harrison County Indiana has a lot to offer for the outdoor enthusiast. Multiple Caves, Zip lines, Parks, Rivers and hiking trails are located a short drive from our location. Some of the best local food joints you can find are located a short drive across the Ohio River in Brandenburg Kentucky.

The Cabin has a full kitchen, a full bathroom and full bedding on each bed. Towels and Toiletries are provided as well. Each Cabin has a set of corn hole boards, a fire pit, picnic table and a charcoal grill. We pride ourselves in providing an enjoyable, quiet and relaxing vacation here at High Ridge Cabins.

Overall a decent place to stay. The cabin could use a deep clean lots of cob webs and dead insects inside the cabin. Also no complementary showering soaps and only one trash bag was given to use Plenty of towels which was nice Close to Squire Boone Caverns which was convenient. Bed was comfy nice secluded location

Campfire at night and work up to deer and turkey visits in the morning. We will be back!

We made a lot of plans for what we were going to do only to sleep in and rest in the cabin for the whole day. It was so peaceful and quiet, we didn't want to leave.

The cabin was perfect for our stay in the area to attend Bourbon and Beyond. The ride from Louisville to the cabin was scenic and just under 1 hour. The cabin check in process was quick and easy and the check out process was posted throughout the cabin. If you're looking for a nice weekend in the woods "off grid" this is your spot! We also checked out the Caverns right down the road which was a really cool experience. Cell service in the cabin is limited, but there are areas outside of the cabin you can get service. There is no WiFi, but again if you are looking for a place to disconnect from the busy world we live in this is your place. 10/10 recommend.

Everything was nice and cozy. The scenery was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The only issue was the smell, which was overwhelming. We went to the dollar store and bought candles. It could have been a lot cleaner..

The cabin was clean ,bed was comfortable,is definitely remote,the down side is it smelled really musty the whole stay we ended up leaving a night earlier then intended because of the musty smell and damp feeling. Had no communication with owner was emailed the code to get in, couldn't call because no phone signal, the t.v remote did not work, the outside trashcan was full from the previous renters, I sent them a message to let them know this and never heard anything back.We will not be staying here again

Super cozy cabin in a great location! Bed were so comfortable. Only downfall was no wifi but I was instructed to contact the owner for wifi info when there wasn’t any so that was a bit of a letdown. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. Over all though the stay was great and comfortable 😊

exactly as described. It felt like we were far away from civilization, which is what we wanted. So much shade & quiet. Beds were comfortable and all amenities were described accurately. As a reminder, this property has no wi-fi (we acknowledged that in advance) and we were truly unplugged 👍

We stayed here while attending the PGA Championship. The cabin was private and very comfortable. We could not get the tv to work, but we really weren’t there enough for that to be an issue.

Driving up to the property was beautiful, but we thought too remote. But once we were there, we could have stayed for weeks. It is the most serene and beautiful space. The rain even made it more enjoyable, sitting on the deck and listening to the wildlife and rain. If it wasnt so far away I would bring our whole family here, for the best getaway ever. Thank you for the chance to experience your lifestyle.

If you're looking to get away for a peaceful vacation this place is it. Cabin has your basic needs and the beds are super comfortable. Dollar General is right down the road for food and supplies for short term stays and really good restaurants about 15 minutes away in Brandenburg Kentucky "Docs BBQ Smoke Shack".

This cabin and the beautiful wooded area surrounding it is perfect for anyone looking for somewhere that’s extremely peaceful. It’s the perfect place for a system reboot from the everyday stress of life. This listing actually exceeded the expectations I had from viewing the listed online, I highly recommend.

I meet a friend here for a little weekend getaway. Her coming from illinois and myself from ohio. I loved that it was on private property with the owners close. Very clean, close to aminities and easy to access. Will be revisiting.

Our cabin was easy to drive right to the cabin. It was my wife and I and was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was small, especially the shower, but totally fine and was not a hardship. The decorations were very nice. The bed on the lower level was a bit soft but comfortable. We checked the loft, it had two bunk beds and a full size bed, so a family of 6 could fit the cabin. It was nice to be totally disconnected, but within 15 min. away from town. We came for the Kentucky Derby and enjoyed staying in the cabin and driving in for the Thurby, Oaks, and Derby. We highly recommend the Cabin in the Woods!
