Typical red and white holiday home in the forests of Småland not far from the lake with boat, internet and sauna by the lake

In the deep forests of Southern Småland you will find the holiday home Farmors stugan, which means as much as Grandma´s hut.



This small paradise is surrounded by a forest and pasture scenery with the stone walls, typical for this region.

The house was built in 1850 and completely renovated in 2004, resulting in an up-to-date accommodation with the old style of the past. To the holiday home belongs a bedroom, a living room with convertible sofa, a bathroom with shower and WC as well as a kitchen corner. Outside the holiday home offers a terrace with grill, where you can take your meals in a pleasant way and where you can listen to the twittering of birds.

From here you can go by bike along the small village path and enjoy beautiful nature and scenery. Or you go stalking into the surrounding forests and make use of the rich occurence of berries and mushrooms. In case you like it a bit more peaceful and quiet, so you can use the relaxing hammock at the large property, which is excellently suited to read a book.

At hot summer´s days you should visit the idyllic place to swim, which is about 4 kilometers away from the holiday home. Or why not testing the luck in fishing in one of the 20 lakes, which you will find within a radius of 20 kilometers.

A popular pleasure is sauna bathing down at the lake "Sörsjön", especially in the evenings.

As destinations for excursions we could recommend the World of Glass, the elk park at Kosta, the World of Astrid Lindgren, the distillery in Kyrkeby or the Småland metropolises of Växjö and Kalmar or Karlskrona in Blekinge.

Rowing boat and life jackets are included in the rental. A motorboat on Lake Törn can be rented on site.

You have access to a waterfront sauna, which is shared with other guests, but which you can book privately on site for free.
