Peak A Boo Private Heated Pool and Private Parking

The view, oh the view, could sit there and look at it all day. Pool was fabulous. Like a home from home-you want for nothing at this amazing property. Ana, the host, is the friendliest, kindest person you could ever meet, she really does go above and beyond for her guests. The best holiday rental we have ever stayed in -bar none.

Geweldige locatie met magnifiek uitzicht! Het appartement is ontzettend schoon, ruim en zeer compleet ingericht. Host Ana is geweldig, geen moeite is haar teveel. Er zijn leuke wandelmogelijkheden in de buurt (1 route staat in het informatieboekje van Ana en verder staan er verschillende bordjes met “Vereda’s” in de buurt). De weg naar het appartement is steil en smal. Maar er is weinig verkeer op deze weg en als je rustig blijft is het prima te doen. En het went snel.

Très bel emplacement et maison très agréable

We stayed in Madeira for a month and this was our favorite place to stay by far! The villa is spacious, modern, and comfortable with terrific amenities (a private heated pool, lovely balcony/patio, excellent kitchen, views from almost every room, secure off-street parking, and a laundry room with both a washer and a dryer). The views are outstanding, day and night; you can see homes on the hills and ships in the ocean. We enjoyed watching the weather as it rolled across the hills toward the sea (think clouds, fog, sun). Ana is a superb host. She has a terrific written guide for her guests, including activity and local restaurant recommendations. She lives nearby and was readily available when we had questions. We were pleasantly surprised that there is a restaurant within walking distance (as long as you are okay with steps) and a free shuttle to two other restaurants in nearby Camara de Lobos. There also is a cable car within walking distance that will take you down to a local shore. We especially enjoyed walking through the part of the neighborhood on the hillside that is accessible only by staircase rather than road. Multiple nearby towns are easily reached by car, but we most enjoyed being in such a quiet, scenic, and secluded location. We would love to stay here again!

Everything was wonderful! The only possible concern, as some other reviewers have mentioned, is the last part of the road to reach the villa is a one-lane road which can be somewhat anxiety-provoking. However Ana does an excellent job explaining what to do and we navigated this section of the road multiple times without incident. There is not a lot of traffic (the villa is at the end of the road) and the neighbors are friendly and accommodating, particularly when they see an unknown car. We were happy that we had rented a smaller car (a Mini Cooper), but we also took a Bolt (like a taxi) one night that was a full-size SUV and the driver navigated the road with no issues. I would strongly encourage you not to let this possible concern stop you from booking this property. It is truly an exceptional place to stay!
