Fitz-Mar

I loved the large room and beautiful furnishings, excellent WiFi, A/C, and electronic tap door key, the nice refrigerator and desk, and generous bed. If I wanted to go outside, it was just a block to the beach, town, and blocks to restaurants or groceries. It definitely felt like staying in a traditional Mexican home. Hot water and rain shower were lovely as was coffee. Oliver at the desk helps and speaks good English. Otherwise there is not much desk help. It felt safe and secure! I stayed for six nights, solo.

Even without toilet paper in the toilet, it backed up and had a smell when I arrived. The location is extremely loud at night, near bars where people walk and shout, constantly waking me up. In the day time, people rent golf carts on the narrow road by the dozens, which is also loud. The inside of the hotel itself is a bit funky but the rooms are nice once inside. The maid service comes every few days, which was fine with me but others might take issue.
