About this space
The Alamo Lodge, a 37 Gatewood property, is backed up against 6,000 private acres that drop into The New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The best mountain bike and hiking trails in the area are near by. If it’s kayaking or fishing that you are here for, we are at the top of the hill from the Cunard River access. Bridge Haven golf course is just 3 minutes away. Rafting companies are a short drive away and popular restaurants are only 5 miles away. Convenient to Fayetteville and Oakhill.
The space
The Alamo Lodge is great for groups because it has 2 showers in each bathroom. That's 4 showers total so your group can get out the door quickly and enjoy the adventures this area has to offer. This is an open concept lodge with a small bedroom with a queen bed that is private. There is a small open loft area with 2 twin beds. There are 2 full size futons in the large open living room area. Another, larger bedroom, has an area with a queen bed and 2 futons for sleeping. There is not a hot tub on the property at this time.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire Alamo Lodge. There's a courtyard with a large fire pit and seating area for you to enjoy. Aside from the entrance, the courtyard is fenced. There are chairs on the front "porch" of the lodge. You're on the same property as Equestrian Adventures. Fenced pasture areas are for employees and those riding with Equestrian Adventures.
Other things to note:
There is another 37 Gatewood rental behind the lodge and as mentioned before, there is a horse back riding stable on the property. The lodge has its own fire pit. Firewood is supplied for one nights fire, more can be purchased from us, just let us know and we'll make sure it's delivered to you. Also, the owners have pets that are often on the property including cats and dogs.

The property managers communicated wonderfully and were very attentive to our needs. The property was spacious and it was neat to be so close to horses. The inside was open and bigger than expected for all 9 of us. The amenities were accommodating and the place was clean

The property was clean and well equiped. It was perfect for our larger group. Owner was very easy to contact for check in and check out was simple.
