Hotel Por Que No?

I had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was beautiful, very clean, bed was comfortable. There were also 2 bikes available to use if you needed to go somewhere. Conveniently located close to restaurants and the beach. Louis, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. He really made me feel at home and was always happy to help with anything I needed. It felt like coming home!

Everything was great!

Luis fue súper amable y comprensivo con la situación particular que teníamos. Nos ayudó en todo, en que visitar, que tours hacer y donde ir a cenar/comer. Y no solo nos ayudó sino que luego se preocupaba de que todo fuera bien. Espero poder volver a Costa Rica , desde luego me quedaría de nuevo en este hotel. Las instalaciones eran preciosas y estaba todo muy cuidado.

Nada, era todo perfecto

La ubicación es perfecta para poder ir al parque nacional y cerca de los restaurantes y supermercados para tener una mejor experiencia, ademas el lugar es muy bonito, limpio y seguro.

Generally, this place could be perfect. The room was nice, clean, and well-decorated. The pool was amazing and relaxing. I loved swimming there or just chilling by its side. We received a lot of help from the staff there, especially Luis. I really appreciated that he helped us arrange the taxi to Nauyaca and communicated efficiently. The location was also wonderful. It was close to the tour agencies, which was perfect for us as we needed to get there by 6 am.

We experienced two events of power outages since the afternoon (~3 pm) on both days of our stay. It was unbearably hot without AC or a fan during the daytime. What's worse, the Wi-Fi didn't work without electricity, which wasn't ideal since the signal was pretty bad in Uvita. It was barely possible to connect to the internet. The second power outage was not solved by 8 pm, and the place was completely dark. We were forced to bathe in the moonlight until Luis brought us some candles and a flashlight. I understand the local infrastructure may not be advanced, and things like this are unpredictable. However, I feel this incident could have been handled better. They could have helped to rearrange us to other hotels or taken more active action. For example, they did not provide any information or assistance during the second power outage, including the candles, until I asked them. Also, we have not received any compensation (or does it require us to claim it?). I am super satisfied with all the other parts of our stay. Unfortunately, I could not leave a better review due to the reasons mentioned above.
