Nestledstays - Sunbeam

Great location, we went to Goodwood races so only 15 minute taxi ride, Barry the recommended taxi man picked us up promptly both days. Very peaceful and quiet location, loved the hot tub, very hot, enjoyed watching the jumping fish with a relaxing glass of champagne and lovely animals on the farm, lamas,donkeys, goats, sheep and cows. Outdoor seating area, bbq, and fire pit if required and fishing. Welcome bottle of Prosecco and fresh milk on arrival so was able to make a cup of tea straight away. Great little kitchen with all essentials, crockery, cutlery, pans, small microwave, hob, fridge, coffee machine, tea and coffee. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows, lots of welcome information and places to visit. I booked a local hairdressers in Arundel to have my hair curled, 15 minutes down the road called Tracey Walker. There is a Shell garage with a Waitrose ten minutes drives away which we used to stock up on some nice treats. Good to note though you can only go inside to shop up until 10pm although they will serve you at the hatch. On Sunday when we left we went to the White Hart pub, on the way to Arundel and had a fantastic Sunday lunch before out 6 hour journey back up north. We plan to visit Goodwood again next year so will definitely rebook.

Couple of minor points which do not take away from this beautiful place at all. 1) the lovely clock gold clock on the wall wall needs a battery. 2) I used the small ironing board to iron my partner’s shirts and I needed it for my iron my dresses for the races. however as the legs are metal it did slide about on the wooden breakfast bar. In the end I put a damp towel underneath it which helped to keep it in place but it would be useful to have either plastic feet or maybe put some plastic tape on the legs to make it more secure. 3) We didn’t bring any extra towels so had to use the white indoor ones when getting out of the hot tub, understand why you don’t want people to use them outdoors in case they get dirty. I was very careful that they didn’t, but it think it would be useful to ask guests to bring an extra towel if they want to use the hot tubs or possibly think about having towelling robes but understand this would be more laundry for you. In the warmer summer months towels are ok but in the winter months it would be nice for getting in and out of the hot tub. Overall a fantastic place to stay and these are very minor details and certainly would not stop me staying again.

Excellent views, walks, and extremely quiet!

Absolutely loved our time at the cabin. It was finished to a high standard. Lovely facilities. Quiet and tranquil location, set by a lake. Easy to relax and unwind! The host was extremely helpful too!

Nothing bad to say- the location, property and value for money was perfect!
