Great rental apt. in Puerto Escondido peoviding everything you'll need!

Wonderful place a little off the main road in Puerto Escondido. Fully equipped kitchen, AC, private shower and all amenities needed available. Carlos went all the way to make our stay comfortable. He provided us with beach-towels, fresh bedding after a couple of days and even an umbrella for the beach. Since we were travelling for a long time we didn't have those items with us and he was super responsive and quick to help us. The beach is a 6 minute walk away where you can also find little shops, nice coffee-shops and restaurants to eat. You will be a 25 minute walk away from La Punta (which we appreciated since it's nicer by Zicatela beach) and about 35 minutes from the centro where you will find big grocery-stores and the bus terminal. The best part is the shared rooftop-terrace which was mostly to ourselves and is giving you the most beautiful view on the Puerto Escondido-sunset (or new years fireworks in our case...). Would recommend and stay again at any given time!

No issue to us, but there is only cold- / luke warm water in the shower.

Amazing stay at Casa Mura - clean, comfortable, and the rooftop deck is an amazing place to relax and read a book. Carlos was an amazing host and helped us out at every turn. Would happily stay again!

Casa Mura has been my favorite place in Puerto after two different visits. The host was very helpful and nice. The place is off of the main road, 10minutes walk from Zicatela beach. I rented a scooter, so no problem getting around.. The host booked a taxi to the airport. The room was the most comfortable, good a/c, shower, and privacy. I needed to change places day of and the host allowed me to check-in early.

Just a nitpick, but the property is on the top of a very tall hill, especially tall if you're coming from the beach. It wasn't too big of a deal, but it would have been nice to know beforehand.

I loved the property! It was in a great location and felt very comfortable. The host was super nice and very helpful anytime I reached out. The internet was reliable, and the rooftop was a great place to relax. I also really enjoyed the neighborhood—it had many friendly people and a very calm, peaceful atmosphere.

Great place to stay in Zicatela

Great apartment, pretty much brand new and has an epic terrace at the top. Carlos the host is very friendly and always on hand with any help. We stayed two weeks here and would definitely come back. I always spend a lot of time researching and looking for.. 1. Clean places 2. Quiet places 3. Good location 4. Good reviews 5. Value for money 6. Air con that works Some notes 1. About the dogs, yes there are dogs and yes they bark. Did they make so much noise you cant sleep ? No (and i am fussy about sleeping well). Also, theres dogs everywhere in Puerto Escondido 2. About the hot water (or lack of), after some digging and talking to other people staying in other places, seems that hot water isn't really a thing here. If youre that fussed then i suggest drinking the water in the 10 litre bottle that Carlos gives you, half fill it with water, leave the water out in the sun, use that water instead of the shower itself. It works well, did this a few times. 3. There is a tiny shop next door, please do bring cash and please do buy stuff from there, the people who run it are super friendly and its better than giving your money to Oxxo 4. Bring cash to Puerto escondido, most of the atms charge a huge amount to draw money (one tried to charge 175 pesos!! The atms in chedraui and the bus station are more reasonable at 35 pesos. 5. Theres just about enough utensils to cook with, you will need a bottle opener though if you want beers. 6. Do go to el Cafecito, best value meals in Zicatela 7. For swimming, you can actually hit the spot between Zicatela and Playa Principal, just before the curve of the beach. Smaller waves makes it a good spot to swim.

The location is great but it is on a hill which is a killer if you need to walk back in early afternoon

Feeling at home from the beginning :)

Everything was super clean, AC works well, comfortable mattress, location is amazing (perfect sunset spot), it was my first stop in Mexico and thanks to Carlos I felt at home immediately :) he helped me with everything and responded immediately! Couldn’t imagine a better start!

Great option near playa zicatela

Location is 10 minute walk from playa Zicatela which is great. Carlos is an amazing host who is super helpful. The beds are comfortable. There’s a great view from the rooftop. WiFi works well.

It is already stated but keep in mind there is only cold water in the shower but it honestly feels nice with the heat.

Just Amazing

Everything is so close by, Carlos helped me in everything Laundry mat close by as well. Two great taco stands. Homemade Tortilla crossing the street. Everything worked great at the CASA MURA

No TV. But then again there is so much to do so much to see!! Who needs a TV ;)

We loved everything about the property, the location was perfect for us. Facilities and the apartment itself were great, we really appreciated the big bottle of drinking water in the apartment when we arrived!! Carlos, the host, went above and beyond for us. He kindly collected us from the ado bus station after an over night bus and brought us to the apartment. He also arranged a rental scooter for us. He was on hand for all of our queries - thanks for a great stay Carlos!

Carlos was such a kind host. He picked me up from the bus station, sent me a list of recommendations of places to eat and things to do during my stay. I loved that there was an AC in the unit, as Puerto gets really hot!

we loved this property. it was so clean and spacious with a great little kitchen that had everything we needed. Carlos, our host, was the best host we have ever had in our 4 months of travelling. No matter what we needed, he was there to help. He provided fresh towels and bed sheets when needed and nothing was too much of a bother for him. this is located 5 minutes drive from zicatela beach which is the perfect location. we would definitely recommend this property and would love to come back again! thanks Carlos for everything!

Well thought out spacious room with a little stove, fridge, dishes, table, chairs. Felt secure. Comfortable. Nice bathroom. Very helpful staff who went out of their way to make it a nice stay.

It was a bit stuffy. It was a very hot day and even with the ceiling fan it was hard to keep the room from being very warm, perhaps one of those oscillating fans would help. I’m from Montana, though, so I may just not be used to it!

Excelente opción cerca de playa Zicatela y Oxxo.

El alojamiento esta muy bien ubicado, en una zona tranquila, a solo unos metros de Zicatela y un oxxo. El personal increíble. Llegamos en un bus que llegó a medianoche y Carlos nos esperó para entregarnos las llaves y explicarnos todo sobre el alojamiento, también nos hizo algunas recomendaciones para nuestra estancia y nos contactó con la empresa de renta de motos. Excelente detalle. Y la terraza es espectacular y cómoda, aparte de que hay wifi y conectores para cargar los dispositivos electrónicos sin tener que quedarte en la habitación.

De momento para nuestra estancia no fue problema, pero es necesario mencionar que solo había una llave en la regadera, por lo que no pudimos mediar la temperatura del agua de la ducha. En la cocina había algunos bichos saliendo del lavabo.

Muy amable la atención, tenia clima el cuarto algo muy necesario por el calor que hace en la ciudad, una terraza muy comoda con hamaca, en la esquina hay una tienda donde puedes comprar algunas frituras. Muy amplio el cuarto, se tiene buena presión de agua. Y bajando dos cuadras pasa las camionetas de transporte que te pueden dejar en el mercado del pueblo
