Casa Vacanze Rainbow, Siracusa

Very nice and spacious

The shower could have been cleaner

The location was excellent, with parking always available. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and respectful of our privacy throughout our 4-day stay.

The Wi-Fi signal was reliable, but the internet connection uses a SIM card, so the speeds were quite limited. It was sufficient for browsing and video calls, but it may not be ideal for anyone who needs fast, stable internet for remote work or large downloads.

The apartment was perfect for our vacation. It was spacious and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. I also liked that there were enough towels provided.

There was no coffee or laundry detergent pods for the washing machine, but that didn’t bother us.

Located in a quiet residential area of Syracuse. The main living room and kitchen area are spacious and feature modern decor.

Prior to arrival, I received several phishing messages regarding the booking -something that has never happened to me before, suggesting a lack of guest data security. On arrival day, we were sent a document filled with strict rules and threats of fines, yet it lacked basic operational instructions (like how to switch on the stovetop). Essential items were missing—such as having only a single roll of toilet paper for 4 adults staying 3 days. Responses to issues during our stay took about an hour, and the host dismissed our concerns by stating this was a "short-term rental, not a guest apartment" (despite being listed as a "holiday home"). Location & Parking: A car is mandatory as driving is required for everything (10 minutes to the city center, over 20 minutes to Ortigia). The street is narrow, and arriving at night made finding a close parking not easy. Comfort & Facilities: Bedrooms: Uncomfortable mattresses throughout. The main bedroom mattress was so bad it left me with bruises. The second bedroom is completely unsuitable for two adults: very cramped, featuring a squeaky, unstable 1.5-person bed pushed against a wall, with only one nightstand and had no aircondition!. Balcony: Large, but all outdoor furniture was covered in dust, with an uninspiring view. Accessibility: I arrived with a broken leg after checking the stair count in advance.
