Ideally located midway between Preston and Lancaster. Perfect for vistors who plan to visit both cities or use it as a base for other attractions further afield. Also not far from the M6 for travellers.
It has a homely feel and loved it when their cat decided to sit in my car while I took by luggage up to the room

Comfy bed and nice bathroom
Bathroom next door off the corridor, so you had to be dressed to go to it
Room very tight between bed and wall, so no good if you are a big person
Not walkable to shops or pubs - the nearby butty place was closed
2 dogs (one I think an Alsatian) and a cat - so although using the kitchen was offered, in reality not possible

The male host was welcoming and helpful. Allowed us to park on the driveway. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. There were tea and coffee available though we didn’t use them.
The room is not the same room as on the advertising picture. Furniture is different and it is a different room altogether. Struggled to get around the bed as little room from base of bed to wall. Could do with brighter lighting in the bathroom when using the mirror to put on makeup as it is quite dark. The property did have an unpleasant smell when we walked in the front door.
