Wonderful hotel, great staff and a great golf course

I attended Andy Combe's golf academy located at Blue Canyon for two weeks of intensive coaching. As a solo female traveller, I was looking for somewhere safe where I didn't have to be on the streets alone at any stage, and as Blue Canyon is within a gated complex, basing myself at the Lodge offered the best solution for the duration of my stay. I could do an approximate 6km loop alone around the course for my exercise, and as the reception and concierge staff knew when I was leaving and therefore expected return, I enjoyed the security of knowing I was being looked out for. Concierge kept my clubs stored safely and would have my bag ready within minutes while they got me into the shuttle to take me to the academy. After 9 nights in the same room, I requested a change of scenery and was given another room without issue. All staff members were lovely and accommodating. There was an extensive room service menu that was reasonably priced. and I only ordered my meals and other goodies through them, as well as daily breakfast which was included in my room price. The property is a little tired but exceptionally clean. As it rained for much of the time I was there, the gym would benefit from a small upgrade which as a suggestion, could include a treadmill as the step machine was out of order so there was no cardio equipment in use. That's only a minor quibble, however, as any time I worked out there I had the room to myself. I would not hesitate to book there again. Thank you all for your kind hospitality.

Overall the experience was bad. First the room was so run down and old 1. The aircon was making lots of noise that you could not sleep properly and when ask to change the room the answer was no available room but there was less than 10 people I saw in the resort hotel. Sept was their low session period cause of it rain almost everyday. 2. The water heater was not working and the water is not hot enough even they claim have “Fixed” the heater 3. The bath room was too slippery Basically this resort are too old. But the charges are too expensive Stuff at the restaurant are very rude and don’t provide good services. Especially the older stuff working here. They need to bring in more new stuff and provide training to the stuff for customers service.
