From the very beginning, Picotacucho was intended solely for family use. Recently, we decided to open this space to the public so you can enjoy a unique and spectacular location near the highway to Guayaquil, just 15 minutes from the historic center of our beautiful city of Cuenca, designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’re located in the Bellavista–Sayausí neighborhood, at an elevation of 2,780 meters above sea level, far from the noise, pollution, and stress of big cities.

You’ll have the entire property at your disposal, which covers an area of 9,800 m²—almost one hectare!—where you can explore nature trails, gardens, and orchards while breathing in fresh air; take beautiful photos both inside and outside the property; At certain times of year, you may encounter and interact (if you’d like) with small cows and our beautiful little white horse, which often graze in specific areas of Picotacucho.

We have a secure and spacious private parking lot at the front of the property that can accommodate 20 vehicles. For your safety, our property is equipped with an alarm system and video surveillance. For your recreation and enjoyment, we have two sports fields with natural grass—one for beach volleyball and the other for 7-a-side soccer.

In our main lounge, you’ll find: a ping-pong table, a dartboard, playing cards, Jenga, and various games for adults and children; a fully equipped workstation with fiber-optic internet and Wi-Fi that reaches every corner of the common areas and bedrooms; separate restrooms for men and women, reading and relaxation areas, a dining area with a large table for large family dinners, and the common room surrounding our beautiful wood-burning fireplace—perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying them with a delicious cup of hot chocolate. To liven up your stay, you can use our portable sound system with USB, Bluetooth, CD, and radio tuner (please keep the volume at a moderate level and be mindful of the time out of respect for our neighbors). You’ll also find our well-stocked pantry so you won’t have to leave the house; it features over 70 varied and exclusive items that are at your complete disposal throughout your stay, and you’ll only pay for the items you consume at check-out.

On the upper floor, you’ll find our spacious indoor hot tub with heated water, night lighting, and a waterfall—ideal for relaxing and enjoying a hydromassage that will completely rejuvenate you. Next to it, we have our Turkish bath, where the steam infused with fresh eucalyptus—just cut from our forests—will stimulate your nervous system, promoting circulation and relaxation. In this area, you’ll also find a hydration station—perfect if you’re using the Turkish bath and/or the jacuzzi—alongside a beautiful wicker lounge featuring a 40" Smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, Xtrim, and IPTV with over 1,000 national and international channels and more than 10,000 series and movies—which you can also watch while enjoying the hot tub. You’ll find a fully equipped bathroom with all the essentials: toilet paper, soap, shampoo, towels, and a hot water shower. Across from the bathroom is a changing area for use when entering or exiting the hot tub or Turkish bath. If you’re traveling with small children (under 2 years old), please let us know in advance, and we’ll set up a playpen in the bedroom at no additional cost for the little ones’ safety and comfort while they sleep.

On the first floor, next to the main living room, you’ll find our kitchen. It’s spacious, stocked with all the basic supplies (salt, sugar, coffee, tea, cocoa, chocolate, oil), and fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, gas stove with oven, blender, a sandwich maker, toaster, coffee maker, kitchen utensils, and a full set of tableware. Here, you can comfortably prepare your own meals or serve fresh fruit, vegetables, fast food, or local dishes that you can find in the area or order for delivery through various platforms.

Next to the kitchen, you’ll find our duplex bedroom, where the lower level features a living area with a 32" Smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, Xtrim, and IPTV with over 1,000 national and international channels and more than 10,000 series and movies; a full bathroom with all the essentials: toilet paper, soap, shampoo, towels, and a hot shower; on the upper level, you’ll find the bedroom, which has two large, cozy beds with comfortable mattresses, pillows, sheets, blankets, and comforters; additionally, blankets and an electric heater are available to keep you warm (if needed on cold nights
