Fabulous place to stay! Great welcome from a lovely host, who speaks very good English. Everything was super clean. Love that there’s a dog friendly beach right across the road. Great walking area for people with dogs. There is a designated walking area all the way to Peniscola (4 miles), which is flat and right next to the beach. A good stretch of it is traffic free, too. 100% secure enclosed outside space, with a solid, lockable gate that leads onto the pavement, so very secure for dogs. Nice views. Great parking right outside – see my pic. The sun hits the rear terrace around 10am (June 3rd). A floor plan is needed to fully appreciate what’s on offer here. The photos do not do it justice at all. It’s a lovely property with so many areas to sit inside and out. Large TV. So many places have tiny TVs, so this was a bonus. Two of the double bedrooms have their own en suite and have lockable doors to separate them from the rest of the house. I found this useful, to keep my elderly dog safely with me at night, without the risk of falling down the stairs. Very well equipped and bright kitchen (although could do with a kettle). Large fridge/freezer. Plenty of good lighting all over the house and outside. Outdoor sink and shower. Comfy beds and sofas. Huge wardrobes and lots of drawers for storage. Lovely hot water and great showers. Large EuroSpar shop a two minute walk away, just across the river, and a Lidl a little further. Both have ample parking. So many cafes, bars and restaurants within easy reach. Super-cold aircon. Asbolutely fabulous and we’ll definitely visit again!

Not allowed to add photos. A couple of bin bags would be nice to start off with in the kitchen. The windows do nothing to drown out the road noise, even though they’re double glazed. Loud boy racers with popping exhausts went on until 2am on Friday night. There were just two of us but any more would have struggled to sit and watch the tv, without pulling the other sofa across. Even then, there would only be space for 6 people, squashed up, in a 5 bedroom house that sleeps 10 people, unless you’re happy to watch tv on a dining chair.. The steps outside and stairs inside could be a problem for dogs and children, as they’re completely open. We had to use the clothes airer across the stairs to stop our elderly dog from falling down into the basement area. None of the bathrooms/toilets have locks on the doors. Not a problem for us but might be for others. Only one bin for the kitchen. It really needs a separate one for recycling items. Not detached, as advertised, it’s a semi-detached. Parking is public on the street, with offset parking bays. Not ‘free private parking on site’, as advertised. Better privacy screening from the house next door would be nice. You can see straight through the screening it already has.
