Palace Canal View by Wonderful Italy

Central location, 5 mins walk from Venetia S. Lucia Railway station. Apartment was neat and tidy, very quiet and spacious but little tired / dated. Directions were good, access easy, air con was working and great.

Booked Terrace room, did not overlook Canal ( kind of inferred it did when booking room), Terrace was a good space but had not been cleaned, cigarette butts still in ash tray, a table a 2 chairs which were covered dirt. Mould in shower recess, Venice is obviously subject to moisture issues but a little bleach wouldn’t hurt. Very sparsely furnished, TV didn’t work (turns out the power cord had been dislodged from back of tv and could not put it back in due to space - but we didn’t come to Venice for the TV & wifi worked fine), the iron did not work, there are no coffee/tea facilities in room, you have to use the shared kitchenette / eating area downstairs which I will say is well equipped and does have a balcony overlooking the canal which was lovely but again the balcony had cigarette butts everywhere and appears had not been swept / cleaned for some time.

We were able to find the place fairly easily and absolutely loved the location! It was super close to tons of shops, restaurants, and the Ferrovia vaporetto stop. It was also really convenient having a luggage storage place nearby and a private water taxi pickup spot. We also loved our terrace! The room and bathroom were spacious, everything was super clean, and we fit really comfortably. We spent a ton of time hanging out on the balcony over the grand canal in the common room too. Overall, we really loved our stay!

Just a few very small things! We had a little trouble with the online check-in process and it got somewhat confusing, but I think that was mostly because I had poor service at the time. The hotel was really quick to respond through the app and helped us get everything sorted out. Our shower drain also got a little clogged and caused the shower to overflow slightly, but we messaged them and they had someone come out the next day and fix it really quickly! One other small thing — we had coffee pods in the room and there was a coffee maker in the common room, but there weren’t any mugs to use with it.

Location great Room spacious and loved windows opening straight onto the canal Well equipped, clean communal kitchen

Being picky didn’t like the seatless toilet Towels could probably do with an upgrade (perfectly clean but well worn)

Location was good

Was small and dark
