Bright & Modern Apartment in Puerto Plata, Secure, and Central!

Pasamos unos días maravillosos. La ubicación es inmejorable y el lugar es muy acogedor y tranquilo. Se nota el esmero en los detalles para que uno se sienta como en casa. El alojamiento es tal cual se ve en las fotos, estaba impecable y la comunicación con el anfitrión fue excelente. Sin duda me volvería a hospedar aquí. ¡100% recomendado!"

The location was very secure I felt very safe. every house or property in the neighbor hood was very secure with a gate and metal bars on the doors for an extra layer of security. It was also a gated community with a guard shack so it felt even safer.

The only AC unit was in the bedrooms and it was hot in the rest of the house. However this may just be a spoiled American talking. We kept the bed room door closed so that the AC would stay in the bed room so it would be cool it that room at least.

This was my second time staying at this incredible property, and it somehow managed to surpass the first experience. A huge shoutout to the wonderful host, Berta, whose professionalism and genuine care for her guests made our stay feel as close to home as possible. Berta’s attention to detail was unmatched—from delivering the apartment in pristine condition to ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable visit. For any fellow veterans out there (I served with the USMC) who might be considering relocating to Puerto Plata, there’s an added benefit you should know about. This property is conveniently located near a VA-approved clinic under the Foreign Medical Program, right outside the complex’s security gate. The clinic offers assistance with some service-connected disabilities and can prescribe medications for various treatments, making it a valuable resource for veterans living abroad. The location of the property is perfect—central to supermarkets, restaurants, and even familiar spots like Wendy’s and McDonald’s. It’s also close to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the beauty of Puerto Plata. I loved my first stay so much that I decided to return for New Year’s with my son. The apartment is a spacious two-bedroom, two-bath unit in a secure, gated community—perfect for a family getaway. This time, I wanted to make the experience extra special, so I asked Berta to help arrange a cook to prepare authentic Dominican meals during our stay. She handled everything seamlessly, including ensuring I was informed about food allergy disclaimers. Berta even took the time to draft a menu based on my preferences and helped with translations since neither my son nor I speak Spanish. The meals were phenomenal—rich in flavor and prepared with care, adding an authentic local touch to our experience.
