Pelican at Sound Side

The location was great, the place was very clean and bright inside, comfortable and welcoming.

The keypad to the garage didn’t work, we tried to get them to fix it, but they couldn’t. Also, the ceiling fans were on high when we walked in, and there was no controllers to control them. The refrigerator drawers were all broken, so they did not slide out like they should. The beach toys were bent and broken, looked like they were one step away from being thrown out. The pans to cook with were completely worn out. It looked as if the owners were going to trash them, but left them in the Airbnb instead. One of the pan’s nonstick coating was peeling off, rendering it completely unusable. Also, there were no coffee filters. That was a bit disappointing that I had to buy those while being on vacation. Only one roll of paper towels for a family of eight. And only four rolls of toilet paper so we had to go buy that at the store as well. No foil or plastic wrap or anything like that, no lighter for the barbecue that I could find. Those are typical items included in an Airbnb. And the icing on the cake was that right at 10 AM on checkout day as we were pulling out we noticed the cleaning person was waiting outside. Definitely would’ve had my cleaner show up maybe 15 minutes after 10 just to give the visitors a little grace. The pressure to leave was definitely felt.

We had Plenty of space, the location was good not in super busy area but still still close enough to the hot spots and the neighborhood was quiet. The beds were comfy and the kitchen has every dish or pot and pan you could ever need. Plenty of towels for showering and lots of toys for the beach and yard games for just chilling at the house.

The bunk bed room is way too small for the amount of beds. You cannot use it as a real bedroom for anyone especially if they have issues with small enclosed spaces. There are no spices not even salt and pepper so if you’re going to cook count on buying everything.
