Allan Villa

Amazing location. Just a few minutes walk to Midigama Beach. The staff were so lovely and were always quick to help us with anything we needed. The villa is connected to a small family run restaurant so you can order food to your door whenever you’d like. All of the food was amazing, especially their coconut roti was my favourite in all of Sri Lanka. The villa was spacious and had a fully equipped kitchen.

The villa is somewhat dark inside which is fine if you’re staying for a few days, but for longer stays is less ideal. The wifi didn’t work very well (typical for Sri Lanka though) so make sure you have lots of data.

I absolutely loved the complete privacy and peaceful vibe of the villa — it felt like our own little oasis away from everything. The welcome fresh mango juice on arrival was such a thoughtful touch that instantly made us feel at home after traveling. Everything was impeccably clean, with no bugs or issues at all, and the fully equipped kitchen (fridge, stove, toaster, mixer, kettle — even a freezer!) was a huge bonus for cooking simple meals. The air-conditioned rooms were super comfortable and quiet, perfect for relaxing after beach days, and the mosquito nets added that extra peace of mind. The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful without being overbearing, and genuinely made us feel like family. For the price, the value is outstanding — a whole private villa with all these comforts!

Honestly, there wasn’t much I didn’t like — the short walk to Midigama Beach (a few minutes) is the only minor thing, but it’s an easy stroll and totally worth it for the amazing private villa experience and unbeatable value. No real complaints at all!

Good air conditioning in a good location with comfy beds and nice owners
