Foothills Apartment 28 Vacation Nest

It was a gorgeous apartment with a good view and somewhat easy to find. I can't wait to return with my girls for a mini girls' staycation. The host was also very amazing and made sure I felt safe all while being very accommodating. 10/10 stay.

The hot water in the shower was giving a bit of trouble.

Friendly owner and in the apartment everything was good. Good bakery neerby.

Hard to find but I called the owner and he showed me the place.

Upon my arrival in trinidad, I informed the host and he was already in the apartment making sure everything was perfect, and i assume preparing to be ready to welcome us.. We even got down south a little later than I expected, which the host actually pre-warned me about but being so out of touch with trinidad, I didn't really factor it in. We then took an elevator which took us up to the top floor where the apartment is located. The host met us there where he gave us the keys, a short tour of the apartment (2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen as well as laundry room), explained the security system and the TV ( which has everything that you need - youtube, netflix, online services etc) and even gave us complimentary drinks and a couple snacks, coffee and other necessities. Everything you could need is included in the apartment: cooking utensils, appliances and ironing board, towles, you name it and it's there! Everything which I used worked wonderfully. Half way through my trip however, I did manage to leave the keys for the apartment up North, and collected them the following day. However, after getting into contact with the host, he quickly arranged for someone to drop off extra keys for us, even at his own inconvenience as I believe he was occupied with some family matters at the time and had to arrange for someone else to do it. That was highly appreciated as he simply didn't have to do it at the time, however he made sure to put my interests first... You couldn't wish for a better quality than that from a host!! The air conditioning works lovely, beds were comfortable and bathroom facilities are outstandingly clean and spacious. Beautiful dining area and washing machine and dryer work wonderfully, especially the dryer. I would 100% give the apartment a 10/10 I stayed for just over 2 weeks and I'm not sure which was better, the apartment of the host lol.

I would say the only thing I was slightly concerned about was the location, simply due to the fact that I am a 22 year old young woman who was essentially travelling alone for 2 weeks, and if you know anything about Trinidad, there is a bit of a crime problem. On the flip side, if you're a foreigner travelling, it's naturally always an extra thought to be careful because you can never tell what someone else may think of you, even for something so simple as just having an accent. The stay was absolutely fine, it turned out to be safe with very friendly neighbours who seem accustomed to having guests stay at the apartment and ask you if you need anything that they would be happy to help. It's really just an inevitable feeling for a 22 year old woman to be a bit worried about her safety, especially when travelling but it all turned out just fine in the end!

The actual accommodation was excellent. The host was amazing and the condo was updated with all your needs for a vacation or business trip.

This beautiful condo is located in a large condo/apartment community. We were expecting a single family home or guest house.
