I booked the least expensive, single, no balcony room and it was acceptable for me. However, on my first night, the AC in that single room was not working correctly (unsurprisingly,as we were at the end of a hot summer). So for my nights 2 and 3, while they fixed the AC, the staff kindly upgraded me to a nicer, full-balcony room with king bed, which was great and more than made up for my first "hot" night! Breakfast was good (eggs/cheeses/yogurt/fruits, etc), and so was the pool and the ability to walk down to the Grikos beach if/when preferred. Also convenient bus service both to the port, and if one times things right, also to St. John's Monastery and the Cave of the Apocalypse, stopping right in front of the hotel with a wave-down. Reasonably priced motor bike rentals also, either in Grikos or near the port. All in all a very memorable experience!
