Scenic Gozo Apartment & Shared Pool

Perfect location 10 mins walk to Xaghra’s main square. It’s an extremely spacious apartment in a well kept block. There’s heaps of storage space and the place is very comfortable. Best of all is the huge balcony with views to die for…. Pool view, sea view, countryside view - you have it all!

A few small details, but nothing that’s a deal breaker. There were no chairs by the pool. The shower in the main bathroom is very weak. Some of the kitchen equipment needs replacing (old pans, blunt knives, some scratched plates). And the digital check-in process wasn’t great for us… we didn’t realise we were whats app chatting with AI so the response re an early check-in request was no, but when we got there the cleaner said to come in as he was finishing… but then the system wouldn’t provide our door code for another 2 hours and when it did, the code didn’t work so we spent another 20 mins calling the company. Better just to provide a physical key!

Good location, clean and nice touch with tea/ milk etc ..

The spare pillows smelt of mould. Last time we stayed we told you that the patio door didn’t lock and after six months it still isn’t fixed.

Apartment was centrally located and in walking distance to centre piazza. It was clean, comfortable and we always found street parking. Fellow complex apartment owners were all wonderful.

The location of the property was very pleasing, just where we wanted to be. The air conditioning was very good although we had 4 power cuts during our stay Generally it was good

Information was poor:- No instructions for bin collection days or where to leave the bagged rubbish was left for us or the colour bags to use for each type of rubbish Key access was challenging and we were given the wrong code for our apartment. No information regarding having to take a cover off of the door handle before being able to use the key to get in. No operating instructions for the hob or oven No TV instructions No sun beds around the pool No seating around the pool No sun shades around the pool The sofa in the lounge seated three (3) people but there were four (4) adults on this booking, where was the fourth adult to sit in comfort in the apartment? Parking at the front of the property was limited and with no information regarding parking restrictions We were told on arrival by Zoe from Booking.com that ‘the pool here is shared between guests and any loungers or sun beds in the pool area are normally for communal use on a first come first served basis’. This is incorrect and misleading information because Zoe was going to check and get back to me on the 25th June but I never heard from her again or anyone else at Booking.com! There were no sun beds or seating at all in the pool area. This was very disappointing and affected our enjoyment of our holiday because we were wanting to sun bathe and we could not! This information is incorrect and against trading standards. Why would a pool NOT have sun beds or seating of some description? Seating of some sort around the pool is imperative to allow us all to sit down and relax in the pool area but once we had had a swim we had to return to the apartment. Not how we had wanted to spend our only holiday this year and not what we had hoped for in such a beautiful country. Why also, when the booking was for four adults, did we find a travel cot in our bedroom in the way of the wardrobes which we had to move out and into the lounge?
