Terrible communication with plenty of problems, the unit itself is okay. Was sent a video the day of check in showing how to get into the unit but was sent the wrong unit, after attempting to reach out and call and trying other doors did we finally get access, just to find the garbage from the previous stay was left behind and that the sink floods the unit. Answers from the property staff is always hours away. There are definitely better places to stay for the price.

The place was filthy. There was a dirty coffee mug on the table, the sofa had a gross looking stain and so did the comforter. The sheets had hairs that weren’t ours. WiFi didn’t work for more than half our stay and I was ignored the several times I reached out to get some help, when I finally got a response I was told the office hours (I wrote during office hours) and got no solution to the WiFi issue. It magically started working the following day when I said I’d reach out to Expedia btw. The bed was broken and incredibly uncomfortable.

Location 4/5 : amazing location. A few minutes away from the central station and around 10minutes away from the core activities of Florence. At night the street can feel a bit intimidating to some. Apartment 3/5: The Alex studio was comfortable, spacious and with a good AC. The provided pictures are from various units. The Alex apt are the one with the blue stairs. Shower is very very small. Bathroom is great. Communication with host 1/5 : the communication is not great. I haven’t had a single reply from the host ont Expedia. Lucky they are responsive on WhatsApp. They use a third party AI chat that works, sometimes. However it is something easy to improve. Key collection 1/5 : the keys have to be collected at a bar “near by” however the location is around 600m away, that’s 1.2 to walk with your luggage on cobblestone sidewalks. It is a great ideas to have the key available at bar, however it is very far. To help you plan your vacations, the place is “Bar 50 Rosso”. Furthermore, the keys have to be collected using an other app. If you don’t have data on your phone, you will not be able to received the collection code and the collection location. To this date with those communications and key collection issues, this apartment brought me an unwanted stress in my vacations

The apartment was nice enough. Communication with the property manager, Sabrina, was great and I appreciated how accessible she was throughout our stay. There did seem to be an issue with mosquitoes in the apartment— we found at least 5 different mosquitoes in the three-day duration of our stay. The check-in/check-out process is a nightmare. Access information is not provided until the exact check-in time, but the keys have to be picked up at a separate location, so you cannot plan in advance to arrive there. You are also required to drop the keys at that location for check-out. I do not think that is clearly disclosed in the property description. Another note, the property does not have an elevator and the stairwell is quite steep, narrow, and dark (this is disclosed in the property description, but it is a bit buried).

Check-in was hard work and delayed me getting to the flat. When I arrived at 3.30pm it was still being cleaned. There was a mosquito infestation in the flat (mentioned previously on here) so I left with about 8 bites. Main issue is the painted glass behind the bed which lets so much light and noise in and the lack of curtains/blinds. Really needs a deep clean. Not worth the price. Stay here and you’ll have trouble sleeping!

Overall, our stay was so-so. We booked this place months prior to our trip because it stated it was fully refundable. However, when we tried to cancel a month prior and get a refund, they stated they would issue a refund, but then added on a “cancellation fee” for the exact amount of our reservation. Despite my reasoning being a family emergency, they still refused a refund. There were a handful of functional issues, such as the key taking multiple attempts to open the door, the shower head was broken, no window shades, and the bathroom had a stench. There was also a strange window right by the bed (photo attached), which appears to lead to another person’s room. When they had their light turned on, it came through and lit up our room at night. You can also clearly hear other people’s conversations that are staying in the rooms next door. Would not recommend booking if you are looking for a functional and comfortable place.

The location was good, close to the train station and you could walk everywhere. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with 54 steep and narrow stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, there is not elevator. The apartment is good, but there were some issues with the shower (did not drain well) the toilette cover was broken. There was one single bed that was good, the futon was doble but it was not comfortable to sleep.

Very complicated and unnecessary check in. Only at exactly 3pm you get to know the address of the key drop off point. Up until then you basically have no idea at what part of town you have to pick up the keys.

Overall fairly good stay.. first night no heat or hot water took untl mid afternoon to resolve, but the support staff was very good about getting someone out to fix. Comfortable little place, shower extremely small, and the multiple flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase is not fun. Overall give the support and place a positive rating.

They made the weary travelers walk to an unknown destination to get the keys. Why don’t they just have a code at the door and leave the key on the table. Very inconvenient!

Very clean unit. Wasn’t prepared for the 4 flights of stairs or the hall lights that shut off very quickly on you. Lock for the outside door was finicky. Neighbors were nice. Very close to sights and train station. Beds not comfortable.

charming, but some details are missing, which would make a lot of difference. I missed a place to put soap and such, in the shower. Access is via stairs, without working light, which meant we always had to rely on the flashlight on our cell phones. Very clean, good hair dryer and very good location, but it is better to pay attention to ZTL, if you are driving, as there was a lack of help or instructions regarding this.

We were quite disappointed with many things. First impressions are important and the first impression here is very poor. The front of the building really needs some repair, the stairwell is very dirty, hasn’t been painted in years and hasn’t been swept in a long time. The lights go out often when you’re half way up a flight and it’s very dark. Motion sensor lights should be installed. We had a lot of trouble with the keys and there are 3 doors to be unlocked. Inside our apartment it didn’t look much like the photos. We are guessing they have mixed up the photos from all the apartments suggesting this one would be nicer with windows that weren’t there. The fridge freezer was dirty. There are no racks in the oven and when we asked she just said no one ever uses it. The couch which is the second bed is quite dirty. We found an extra sheet and covered it. The showerhead broke on Sunday - first shower and no one responded to the messages until Monday. It was finally fixed on late Tue and we left the next day. We had many unpleasant interactions with the manager. Perhaps it was the language difficulties for both of us but I felt she was rude and argumentative. At no point does Expedia indicate that the hotel management company is called Beesprint when I got a rather unprofessional looking letter from “Beesprint” asking for my credit card, I assumed it was a scam and didn’t respond. That caused many problems trying to get that resolved after we were already travelling.

Nice property, and really excellent support from the local contact. She gave great personal service when my wife’s flights were extremely delayed and she arrived very late. She also helped arrange local transport to the airport and facilitated paperwork smoothly. The apartment does need some minor maintenance, as the sink faucets and toilet seat were loose. And one of the door locks is tough to work . Other than those little quirks, excellent place. Highly recommended.

This place is not on a safe street . Lots of people sitting around on the street on front of the apartment . We were bothered by some people before entering . We got scared and ended up staying there less than 15 min . Not safe for female travelers for sure .

Great location. 5 minute walk to the train station. 10 minute walk to many of the sites. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Mini-mart at the end of the block. Studio was clean and in good shape. Towels and linens were provided. Would stay there again.

The Studio apartment is great if you just need a place to drop your things. It's clean, has what you need for a shower and a bed but is quite small. For one person, it was perfect for what I needed to come in, get changed and be 5-10 minute walk from all the places I need to be. If you're staying for an extended period of time, I would suggest upgrading to a larger space, especially if you're with more than one person. Check in was easy and the person who I met to grab the keys was very kind. Check out was a bit unclear and I didn't get an answer until after I left the property, but overall, I had everything I needed, the bed was comfortable and the area it was in was great for what I needed.

Such a beautiful place and great host. The location is perfect where the heart of the city is located. As well as the metro is literally two blocks away. The area is very nice and quiet. The host is great at communicating. The condition of the place is great. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely go back.
