Absolutely lovely place to stay; the owners were very friendly and welcoming, the room was spotless, and we had all the amenities we could need. Really loved the guestbook, and beautiful rooms, and would definitely stay here again when I’m next in Kyoto! Also very quiet which was lovely.
Be prepared to wake up with the sunrise, as the sliding doors don’t offer much in the way of light blocking. But this is easily solved with an eye mask, or just embrace it and get up early to explore (which is a great way to experience Kyoto).
