The place was very nice. It was very clean. Kitchen was small. Bathrooms were also small. The fenced yard was basically a fenced area on the hill and a dog could sneak under the fence without digging. One other issue is the steep winding driveway, which could be problematic for backing a boat down, which you have to do. Backing a boat up is much more difficult. And lots of steep stairs in and out of the house. However, we enjoyed our 3 days there. The private boat ramp with dock is no more than a mile away. The hosts are great. We would book again.

We wanted this general location as it provided fairly easy access to Lake Almanor, Lassen, and everything in between. Didn’t disappoint, it was great. Even with 10 humans and a large doggo, never felt cramped, there was room around the giant dining table for everyone to have meals together, kitchen was pretty well stocked with the items you need to make food 2-3 times a day for that crew.

Had a great time at the property. Plenty of room. Great recreation opportunities - Golfing and hiking. Chester is a fun little town. Not all the crowds you get in many other areas
