The Saddle Room…
…is our brand-new vacation rental, built in 2022, which is particularly well-suited for guests who want to spend their vacation with their own horse, but of course also for animal-loving guests who feel at home in the immediate vicinity of our horses—in the paddock and open stable adjacent to the Sattelkammer’s terrace—and who aren’t bothered by the “scent of the countryside” in the air.
The “Sattelkammer” is located in the new addition to the Lindenhof, built in 2021/22, and has a living area of approximately 75 square meters. This space extends over two floors: the first floor and the upper floor.
The first floor features a hallway and an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area that flow seamlessly into one another. Thanks to the large, floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, both the living room and the dining room offer a direct view of the paddock and the open stable. Furthermore, both rooms open onto the terrace belonging to the “Sattelkammer.” This terrace extends from the apartment all the way to the paddock, so you can sit right next to the horses.
On the upper floor of the “Sattelkammer” are two bedrooms, each with a 180 x 200 box-spring bed. The windows in both bedrooms also face the paddock and the open stable. The apartment is complemented by a bathroom tiled with travertine marble in beautiful shades of brown, featuring a floor-to-ceiling, 150 x 125 cm shower, which is also located on the upper floor.
The apartment is ideal for up to 4 people; however, there is also a pull-out sofa bed in the living room, so that more than 4 people could stay overnight in the apartment.
The “Lindenhof Bergenhausen”
We warmly welcome you to the Lindenhof Bergenhausen in the beautiful Westerwald.
In the village of Bergenhausen, which consists of only 12 houses, we offer six spacious, non-smoking vacation apartments on our property—formerly a farm—accommodating various group sizes. You’re also welcome to bring your dog and board your horse on our spacious pastures or in our open stable. Bergenhausen is a district of the county seat Altenkirchen, which offers all the shopping and services typical of a medium-sized town. You can easily reach these in just a few minutes by car. Despite its close proximity to Altenkirchen, Bergenhausen has a very rural character, surrounded by forests, meadows, and the Wied River. This means you can set out directly from the house for a beautiful hike, bike ride, or horseback ride and enjoy nature. Incidentally, Bergenhausen itself has only one access road, which ends at the edge of town. So there is no through traffic. As mentioned, we offer 6 vacation apartments of varying sizes, each designed for different occupancy levels: The “Kornspeicher,” the “Wäller Stube,” the “Bauernkate,” the “Spatzennest,” the “Sattelkammer,” and the “Heuboden.”

On-site costs: 7 spacious, non-smoking vacation apartments: Suitable for 4 to 7 guests, depending on the apartment. You’re also welcome to bring your pet—whether it’s a dog, cat, or even a horse.
