About this house rental
I am available from 8 am through around 9 pm 7 days a week. I do my best to respond within minutes. Occasionally, it takes longer.
While the downtown area is within walking distance of the home, the home sits uphill from the shops. Walking downtown is easy enough, but you might regret the decision while going uphill on the return trip. :-)
The entire property is for your use.
This historic home includes 2 bedrooms upstairs, one in the basement and a pull-out couch in the living room. The couch is the only bed on the main floor. There is a full kitchen with basic tools and supplies and a dining room. One full bath including a tub/shower upstairs and one half bath on the main level. You will love the outdoor spaces - two covered porches with loveseats and a table and chair set for dining. The home is only a few blocks up the hill from downtown - an easy walk unless you have health or mobility issues. Downtown has lots of parking!
Enjoy the original hardwood floors in the dining room, still bearing marks from the embers of countless family meals cooked over the hearth. Stroll to downtown attractions, nightlife, and local festivals, or enjoy the unique experience of hearing calliope music from the Mark Twain Riverboat nearby!
Not a history buff? You’ll love the blend of old-world charm and refreshed modern conveniences. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend, a month, or longer, this home is ready to welcome you for an extended stay.
Important Cleaning Policy: Excessive dirt or damage caused by construction materials, abrasives, or other substances—including mud, drywall dust, concrete dust, asphalt, shingles, cement, tar, or oil—may result in an additional $500 cleaning or remediation fee. Due to damage caused by previous guests, this home may not be suitable for groups unwilling to maintain a reasonable level of cleanliness during their stay.
