You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.Lake Como offers some of the most striking urban, landscape and architectural gems of the entire Italian peninsula. Among these treasures stands Bellagio, "The pearl of the Lario", a village of just over 3000 inhabitants on the northern end of the Larian Triangle, in which the two branches of the Lake are divided. Among the most fascinating aspects of this village there are undoubtedly its charming villas, famous all over the world for their splendor and their manicured gardens. To mention some of them, Villa Melzi boasts many works of art and 18 km of paths in its garden, and Villa Serbelloni, today a conference center of the Rockefeller Foundation, features a wonderful garden as well. The old town, with its numerous shops located along narrow streets with steps, passages and arcades, is renowned all over the world and attracts thousands of tourists every year. The territory of Bellagio is vast and varied, you can visit the different lake hamlets such as Borgo di Bellagio, Loppia, San Giovanni and Pescallo, up to the top of Monte San Primo, reachable with a dense network of paths and itineraries for lovers of trekking and nature. Finally, Bellagio is well connected by boat to nearby villages such as Varenna, Lenno, Bellano, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como. The apartment is 1,4 km from Bellagio Station and Bellagio Pier and 1 hour and 20-minute drive from Orio al Serio Airport.

Villa Emilia is a charming old-world building, a gem in the day with the best location. We travel extensively and use many booking sources. First time with a 3rd party on VRBO and not a good experience, so VRBO direct is great! Local information and Villa history would have been appreciated. Furnishings are tired, this gem could use some TLC and an update inside and out. Arriving to a property that had not been opened nor cleaned thoroughly was disappointing and since we pay for this and had to call for a better clean, this was a first experience. Also, the apt has 1 bathroom, not 2 unless you wish to exit your locked apt and use a shared bath down the hall. Best was the location, yet we left a day early.

A really great place to stay. Villa Emilia enjoys a great position overlooking Lake Como and the views are spectacular. The apartment has a spacious feel with high ceilings and quality furniture. No parking on site but there are 3 parking areas nearby so it isn’t an issue. 10 minutes walk to Bellagio but far enough away to mean it is a very peaceful location.

The Pros out way the cons but the cons should definitely be stated in the description of the property especially if you have children that will be using the bedroom upstairs. Pros: Perfect location, breath taking views, quaint apartment, grocery store and Michelin Star restaurant within walking distance. Cons: You rent an apartment but your second bedroom is on the 3rd floor and THERE ARE OTHER RENTERS!! So if you think the children can sleep upstairs (without a lock or attached bathroom) just know they will be around multiple families who are milling around between floors. This was not in the description, we knew the owner lived downstairs but were never told there were 2 other renters in the villa. Very unnerving.

This is a wonderful and stately old building conveniently located along the main road into Bellagio. It has spectacular views from several windows. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, with a small but ample kitchen, dining room, sitting room, bedroom and very nice bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

While the initial 20 minute walk from town center caught us off guard, our overall experience with this beautiful charming old villa was exceptional. Villa was steps away from a Michelin star restaurant (Ristorante Alle Darsene di Loppia), which was a great surprise and super convenient for one of our evenings. Also steps away was the Giardini di Villa Melzi, which was also a very easy way to begin our first morning in Bellagio.
Beds, linens and towels were all first class. Very peaceful and quiet.

Check in was a little complicated with providing ID documents but I guess that’s required in Italy. We were able to connect with the host on the day of our arrival and were met near the apartment on time. Parking not great but it worked out just fine. The apartment is very old fashion with big windows and doors onto the terrace. Draperies on the walls. We loved it and would come back.
