About this house rental
Fully renovated in winter 2022. Heron House has waterfront access to the Blanco River. Riverside firepit, a great outdoor deck with a cowboy pool, hot tub, chaise lounges, a shaded lounge area, outdoor games, luxurious linens, and spa-like bathrooms. Relaxation and Texas Hill Country charm. A short 5-minute drive to Blanco's downtown square, Heron House is also conveniently located, with easy access to all the shopping, dining, wineries/breweries/distilleries, and events that lovely Blanco has to offer. Johnson City, Fredericksburg, Wimberley, and Dripping Springs are nearby as is Blanco State Park, Pedernales Falls State Park, and the Hill Country Lavender Farm.

The house is absolutely gorgeous and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfortable with the best sheets, the backyard has a great turf area for play and yard games available, and the town square with restaurants and shopping is just down the street. One thing we did find out two days prior to check in was that our dog needed to be crated anytime we left the house. This threw a wrench in our plans for a bit, and I wasn't sure how we'd fit a dog crate (because one isn't provided) in our already packed vehicle. Luckily, we found a pen that folds flat and set that up in the spacious laundry room for whenever we left. It had rained prior to our visit, and there were small ants all over the floors of the kitchen and primary bathroom. I vacummed daily while there as the numbers added up quickly, but I wouldn't say it should be anything to deter you from staying here. The house makes up for it.

This oasis in Blanco was more than we had hoped for! Clean cozy and welcoming! Kitchen and bathrooms fully prepared! Outdoor space was amazing and so peaceful! Our host was super responsive and this once in a 7 year girls reunion was made perfect with this hideaway! Would definitely do this again we are so grateful for the hosts amazing and beautiful space!!

Great property with all the amenities of home! Weekend was a rainout and we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor amenities but the home was comfy and cozy. Thankfully there were great restaurants nearby.

From the minute that we entered The Heron House, we were sure by subtle beauty and country elegance. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked. We literally spent hours on the back deck observing wildlife. At dusk, the fireflies rose up from the wooded area and sparkled in the air. It was a lovely stay, and I would definitely stay there again.
