Terrible and intrusive

Good location

It seems to be run by owners who haven’t made peace with the fact that renting out their beloved property means that other people will be using it. Expect extra charges for basics, a big manual that you have to read, parking far away, an old tv with a trick to it. Expect rudeness if they see a bit of sea sand or a coffee mug or a kids toy left behind. Having a holiday rental means that there is always going to be a bit of work to do to have it in exactly the same condition for the next guest. Add to it that they will read your review before they refund your deposit. (Oh yes. The deposit is not listed in the ad).

Didn't meet our expectations, but the responsive owners promised to fix (and improve?) everything ;)

1. Easy communication with the owners of the property: they were very responsive, friendly, and tried to help us as much as they could. :) They even tried to reimburse inconveniences we faced. :) 2. Convenient location: proximity to the tram (and bus) stops, supermarkets (especially, AH and Lidl). 3. Kitchen with all necessary facilities including sponge, detergent and towel, modern microwave oven, spices and salt, oil etc. 4. Internet worked well. 5. A big living room with comfortable chairs and a dining table, a huge coach was also present there (could be used for sleeping ;)). 6. Interior design: black floor, black table and coach were pleasant to look at.

1. The main reason why we were disappointed was the next: the air-conditioning didn’t work. :( The owner said that it was broken and not known when it could be fixed, and alternatively, we were provided with a fan (it was very hot those days, about 34°C outside). As a result of the absence of a climate control system, we had to keep all windows constantly open, which was inconvenient because the noise from outside street was present until 1-2 a.m. every night, as well as unpleasant smell of fast food from the nearest street café. 2. There was also a leakage from the boiler, but one of the owners came to fix it very quickly and cleaned everything. ;) 3. Extra costs: bad linen and towels package for two persons - charged 15 euro, the fee for a cat - 10 euro/night (don’t know what a fee for dogs is). 4. The property is said to be 2-bedroom apartment, but in fact there is only one bedroom with a double bed and an adjoining room (with a coach) leading from the income hall to the double-bed bedroom. 5. Also, the very unpleasant thing was lack of soundproofing between the rooms and the bathroom with a toilet, access to which was located in the adjoining room and separated only with a thin folding door. As a result, every single sound from the WC was heard by other roommates. 6. Not enough light in the bathroom; also we had to bring our soap, shampoo and shower gel. One roll of toilet paper was not enough for three people. 7. Only one mirror hanging over the sink in the bathroom, would be better to have more somewhere else in the apartment.

All instructions very clear and appropriate. Easy access to owners. Pleasant follow up before and upon arrival. Adapted size and Kitchen/bathroom very clean.

Beds comfort (thin matresses) and furnitures getting old (i.e => Tables next to bed about to fall). Only reason to have a neutral point of view on comfort. All the rest is ok.

Fantastic host, 1st floor apartment with everything you need for self catering. Very clean and modern. Good location. Short walk to free private parking. (Tiled floors, so if you go in winter take slippers). I would go again.

Gute Lage aber Mängel in der Gastfreundschaft

Die Lage des Appartments ist hervorragend. Man ist in wenigen Minuten am Strand (allerdings nicht in zwei Minuten, wie versprochen, eher 7-8). Geschäfte zum Einkaufen und Restaurants sind sehr schnell erreichbar. Der Schlüssel befand sich in einem Schlüsselkästchen.

Die Wohnung war komplett ausgekühlt (Anreise zum Jahreswechsel bei 0 Graden), sodass ich von ca. 15:30 bis abends um 23:00 gefroren habe, bis die Heizung die Räume einigermaßen aufgeheizt hatte. Das hätte ich mir anders gewünscht (und auch schon erlebt) und entspricht meiner Meinung nach der in ihrem Flyer angepriesenen Gastfreundlichkeit. Im zentralen Zimmer waren an der Deckenleuchte zwei Leuchtkörper kaputt. Auf meine Anfrage hin, sollten diese erst nach 4 Tagen ausgetauscht werden, vorher waren die Eigentümer nicht in der Stadt. Ich habe daraufhin selber zwei Leuchtkörper für die Deckenlampe gekauft und installiert, damit ich genügend Licht hatte. Nochmal der Hinweis auf die Jahreszeit, bei der es schon gegen 16:00 dunkel wird und auch morgens lange dunkel bleibt. Die Eigentümer wussten nichts von den defekten Lampen. Kontrollieren Sie das Apartment nicht, bevor sie es wieder vermieten? Im Schrank fand ich zudem schmutziges Geschirr. Das Bad war sehr stilvoll aber auch hier gab es leider nur sehr wenig Licht, schminken war nicht möglich. Die Bettwäsche kostete noch einmal 15,- extra und da es sich um ein großes Inlay handelt (200 x 200 cm) konnte man auch keine mitbringen. Der Hund kostete 10,- pro Tag auch extra. Auch da habe ich schon moderatere Preise bzw. gar keinen Aufpreis erlebt. Zuletzt steht im Flyer, dass die Kaution bis zu 7 Tagen nach dem Check-out zurückgezahlt wird. Ich habe aber 13 Tage auf die Rückzahlung gewartet.

Séjour à Bredene

Accueil sympathique L'emplacement est dans une rue avec quelques commerces et restaurants, non loin de la rue principale. L'équipement de l'appartement est assez complet et il fait calme ( en octobre)

Malheureusement , les matelas et oreillers ne sont pas confortables. Pour les poubelles, pas très pratique de les porter nous même à l'extérieur près de la place du marché dans des conteneurs prévu pour ça surtout sous la pluie et le vent !

Die Nähe zum Strand war einfach perfekt, und auch die Lage insgesamt war großartig. Alles, was man brauchte, konnte man bequem zu Fuß erreichen.

Die Wohnung ist leider sehr hellhörig. Zum einen hört man sich innerhalb der Wohnung gut, da die Wände recht dünn sind und nur leichte Schiebetüren vorhanden sind (z. B. zur Toilette). Gerade als Familie mit unterschiedlichen Schlaf- und Wachzeiten kann das etwas herausfordernd sein. Das eine Zimmer mit Zugang zum Bad ist zudem ein Durchgangszimmer, was die Ruhe zusätzlich beeinträchtigen kann. Auch von außen dringen viele Geräusche hinein – wie das Öffnen und Schließen der Nachbarstüren, die Klingel des Geschäfts unter der Wohnung bei jedem Kundenbesuch sowie Straßenlärm, tagsüber aus der Fußgängerzone und nachts durch Feiernde.

Het straat lawaai omwille van enkel glas en het ochtend licht in de slaapkamer je kon niet goed verduisteren. Wat ook beetje tegen viel is je hebt wel internet maar geen gewone tv of je moet het streamen dit was jammer want we kijken namelijk niet via streamen. Geen plaats voor een buggy te zetten in de hal want deze is vrij smal dus met kleine kinderen niet ideaal

Prima verblijf met vlotte communicatie en mooie locatie!

We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad! De communicatie met Annelies verliep vlot en aangenaam. Alles was netjes bij aankomst, ook een leuke locatie! Een klein tipje: misschien de overtrekken van de kussens eens uitwassen voor een extra frisse indruk. De Chromecast zal wel prima werken, maar dat is iets waar wij persoonlijk minder vertrouwd mee zijn, dus de TV hebben we niet gebruikt. Wat het slapen betreft: het zetelbed is vrij klein voor twee personen. Persoonlijk zouden we een stapelbed verkiezen – dat biedt twee volwaardige slaapplekken en is praktischer wanneer je met twee grotere kinderen komt (in ons geval 11 en 18 jaar, broer en zus). Verder zeker een aanrader!

Agréable appartement cosy, proche de la mer

Nous avons passé un chouette séjour dans cet agréable appartement, cosy, propre, et proche de la mer, de magasins d'alimentation, et de restaurants. Point positif : on peut garer sa voiture sur un emplacement de parking privé à quelques minutes à pied. Les hôtes sont réactifs et la communication s'est bien passée. Nous avons juste été surpris de devoir payer une caution de 125 euros, même si nous comprenons le principe et l'utilité en cas de dégâts. Je réalise d'ailleurs que je dois vérifier que je l'ai bien reçue de retour. :-) Conseil : emmenez un masque de nuit car la chambre principale est lumineuse le matin dès que le soleil se lève. Et aussi des bouchons d'oreilles si vous êtes sensibles car les 2 chambres sont mitoyennes, et il faut passer dans l'une des deux pour accéder à la salle de bain/aux toilettes. :-)

Nous n'avons pas apprécié le chantage : pas de caution, pas de code pour entrer : nous avons réservé par booking, si les hôtes voulaient une caution, cela aurait du être à la réservation et par l'intermédiaire de booking (en bloquant un montant sur la carte ayant servi à réserver) mais pas en nous demandant la veille un virement d'un montant encore plus élévé que la location elle-même. Nous avons traité avec booking, et pas en direct avec l'hôte ! Douche pas propre : pleine de poussières et 2 insectes morts (nous avons fait des photos), appartement glacial, aucune explication de comment utiliser la télé (chromecast). On demande un late check out à midi et puis on nous le reproche alors qu'on nous avait donné l'accord 2 jours avant. On a clairement pas tous le même sens de la propreté malheureusement... Nous n'y retournerons pas.

Toplocatie Vriendelijke hosts Alles wat nodig is, is voorzien (lakens, handdoeken, afwasmiddel, vaatdoeken, koffiepads,…) Gratis parking Voldoende ruimte => in het algemeen heel goede prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding 👍🏼

Je moet door de eerste slaapkamers (met zetelbed) om bij de tweede (met dubbel bed) te geraken. Hierdoor sliep ons oudste zoontje op het dubbele bed en wij als ouders op het zetelbed, dat toch wat hard was :-s
