Close to the city center, though its inside the alley. Had a pleasant experience with the clean room, good AC, and staffs. I met the owner and we talked alot, bu Itet is real nice.

Basic but very friendly guesthouse off the tourist area but within walking distance of the railway station, restaurants, all the tourist spots (Malioboro, Kraton, etc.). Complimentary tea and local snacks on arrival, and excellent local breakfast with fresh coffee on request for less than $1.50. Informative, helpful owner, with good English.
The main problems were the lack of a washbasin and loud air-conditioners. The room and bathroom could have been cleaner, too.

The owner’s hospitality is super . She offered me hot teas because I told her that my nephew vomited.
There were some noises like washing machine or water pump machines.

We did get a good night’s rest.
Courtyard pleasant.
Bathroom tiny, shower almost over toilet and no basin. Casual hospitality at times. Small room.
Needs brightening up.
