Mango Treehouse, Mango Parkway, Nelly Bay

Lovely spot for a couple, front and back decks are gorgeous and great for watching some wildlife and enjoying the open air. Clean and had access to anything we needed for our short stay.

Toilet is more like a cubicle than a separate room so may want to take care when travelling as a group. Not an issue for us but may be for others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mango Treehouse in Nelly Bay. It is a house full of character with lots of room for us to spread out. We enjoyed the full kitchen and listening to the sound of birds at night. Tucked away from the main waterfront area but still close enough to everything.

Location was good, living area’s good

Yard overgrown, looked DIY, windows and doors not fitted with big gaps, no screens in kitchen, safety issues with bath/shower, more DIY in bathroom not to code or safe. Safety issue on back stairs and the window awning too low and one of our group hit his head.

Beautifully renovated 'Queenslander' with quality comfortable furnishings and a relaxing outlook over a well maintained tropical garden. We loved staying here - it really felt like home! A highlight was the resident possums who entertained us greatly. We also particularly enjoyed sitting out on the back deck in the morning reading a book and watching the birds. The beds were very comfortable. Yes, this place is a little further from the Nelly Bay terminal and shops etc. (though there is a little supermarket close by), but the trade off is tranquillity and for us that was absolutely worth it. There are bus stops nearby so even without a car, getting around was easy. I would highly recommend this house and would gladly stay again.

This is being very picky and truly we loved our stay, but a few of bits of feedback that would have made our stay even better would be: 1 - Providing tissues and some more toilet paper! We ran out of TP and had to buy more - not a big deal but just something the owners may wish to consider. 2 - Better affixing the insect mesh around the balcony. On windy nights it lifted up and mosquitoes got through. 3 - Updating the website https://mangotree.house/ (it looks like this has now been done) as before our trip it incorrectly stated that a Compass Property staff member would be able to drive us from the ferry terminal to the house. We ended up walking and it was doable but not too pleasant in tropical weather with all of our bags.
