Omolos House sits at the end of a quiet country lane, with magnificent 180-degree views out over the bay of Agios Stephanos to Corfu town and beyond. This is one of the most sought-after spots on the whole island, a 5-minute drive from lovely Kerasia beach, with a convenient local shop for your daily bread and other necessities within walking distance. A location like this demands something quite special to do justice to it, and Omolos House doesn’t disappoint. The British owners set out to create a villa spacious enough for two families to relax in style, privacy and comfort, and we love what they’ve achieved. The whole villa is beautifully finished inside, though you’ll probably prefer to be outside as much as possible, taking in the big skies and the soothing ebb and flow of the sea that becomes almost hypnotic after a while. Once dusk starts to fall, it’s time to crack open something cold while you decide whether it’s going to be a barbecue night or a trip to one of the waterfront tavernas at Agios Stephanos or Kassiopi. And if eating in gets the most votes, you can take advantage of the free delivery service from the local shop, leaving you all the time in the world to do as much or as little as you feel. Turn RIGHT at the junction at the bottom of this road. This will lead you to a T. junction and a set of traffic lights, where the sea is in front of you, with the Old Fortress ahead/left. Turn LEFT here. Step 2 After 300 m you will pass the CORFU PALACE HOTEL on your LEFT. Follow the road up hill, joining a one-way system, around the LISTON/CRICKET PITCH, entrance to the OLD FORT and MAIN PARKING area that will lead you out of Corfu Town. Step 3 Follow the road around passing the old port, and new ports. You will come to a round-a-bout take the first exit. The SETTE VENTI CAFE is located on your right). Continue on this road for about 2km until you reach a major T. Junction and another set of traffic lights. Step 4 Turn RIGHT here. Lidl is on your LEFT. Continue along this main road, through many sets of traffic lights. You will notice a blue building on your LEFT, which is the HOSPITAL. Step 5 Follow signs to DASIA & KASSIOPI - Keep in the RIGHT lane. Turn RIGHT at the lights, which will take you along the coastal road, and up the North East coast. Step 6 You will pass through the villages of DASIA, then the narrow resort of IPSOS before climbing uphill towards the small resort of BARBATI, passing developments such as RIVIERA BARBATI and PIERA DEL MAR on you RIGHT. The sea will always be to you right. Continue north through BARBATI. Step 7 You will then reach the village of NISSAKI. Keep to the main road – (do not turn off to the beach), travelling uphill until you reach the church and the SIMPSON TRAVEL OFFICE signs, located next to the church. Step 8 Continue past the office – 100m on your LEFT you will notice APHRODITE’S SUPERMARKET. This is your local supermarket and bakery. Anthi, Vitamins & Roumeli Tavernas are also in this village. You will then pass through the end of Nissaki, passing a petrol station on your LEFT and then a sharp bend to the RIGHT and signs to KAMINAKI. Again, continue along the main road. Step 9 After 1km you will climb uphill, passing the entrance to the BLUE ATLANTICA HOTEL on your RIGHT and 100m further on you will see the sign for AGNI. Continue on the main road up hill and around a sharp hairpin bend to the RIGHT. Continue through the village of KENDROMA. Step 10 Continue on this road. You will see signs for GIMARI, KALAMI, KOULOURA. Continue. The sea is visible on your RIGHT. Continue up hill and then the road flattens out. You will now see the sigh for SINIES and about 500m further on, another sign AGIOS STEPHANOS. (Please note that this sign is situated right by the junction so please approach the junction slowly as it could be missed. Turn RIGHT here, towards a small round-a-bout by YANNIS MARKET. Step 11 Passing Yannis Supermarket (the shop will now be on your LEFT) please turn RIGHT by the Real Estate Office. (There is a Simpson Travel Sign). Follow the road to the T Junction and turn LEFT. Go down-hill along this small track about 600m until you see the entrance to Omolos House on your RIGHT. The sign will read VILLA MOLO. Welcome to Omolos House!
