Welcome to the Fuchsbau Vacation Home!
Starting in June 2026, we look forward to welcoming you as your new hosts in our cozy home at the Extertal Vacation Park.
Are you looking for peace and relaxation in a green setting? Our cozy Scandinavian-style vacation home is the perfect retreat for the whole family—including your four-legged friends!
Highlights of your stay:
- Pure relaxation: A private sauna and a crackling wood-burning stove for cozy evenings.
- Dog-friendly: A fully fenced-in yard where your dog can roam safely.
- Perfect location: Quiet and close to nature, nestled between the Weserbergland and the Teutoburg Forest, yet still close to shops, doctors, and pharmacies.
- Diverse Excursion Destinations: Discover historic towns like Hameln and Rinteln, hike through the Silberbach Valley, or visit highlights such as the Externsteine, the Hermann Monument, and the summer toboggan run in Bodenwerder.
1. Amenities & Comfort
Sleeping & Living Area:
3 bedrooms for up to 5 people, cozy living area with TV/streaming, fully equipped kitchen (including children’s dishes and high chair), coffee maker, and microwave.
Wellness & Garden:
Private sauna, wood-burning stove (firewood available for a fee), furnished patio with grill, and fenced-in garden.
2. For Dog Owners
Dogs are expressly allowed here! A dog towel and cozy blanket are provided. The garden is fenced in.
Please specify when booking how many four-legged friends you’ll be bringing.
3. Included Services & Practical Information
Wi-Fi & Parking:
Free Wi-Fi and a private parking spot right next to the house.
Linens:
Towels are included. Bed linens can be booked as an optional extra for approx. 10 € per person. If you’d like this, simply indicate it when booking.
4. Arrival
Easy check-in via a key locker starting at 3:00 PM. Shopping options (supermarket, bakery) as well as pharmacies and doctors are only about a 10-minute drive away.

Hiking right from your doorstep: The vacation home is the ideal starting point for walks and long hikes. Well-marked hiking trails lead right past the vacation park.
Diverse network of trails: Whether you’re looking for leisurely strolls through the idyllic countryside or more challenging hikes in the nearby Silberbach Valley, Teutoburg Forest, and Weserbergland—nature lovers and dog owners will find plenty to enjoy here.
6. Security Deposit:
An additional security deposit of 200€ is due prior to arrival. This can be paid along with the rental fee.
Optional services:
- Bed linens: 11.07 EUR per person per stay
- Dog: 16.61 EUR per stay
